Anders, Vince, Dinko among casters for Roobet Cup 2022

The $250,000 online tournament will be broadcast from Relog's studio in Belgrade.

The talent lineup for Roobet Cup 2022 has been announced by the event organizer, with well-established names set to bring the action from the event featuring teams such as FaZe, ENCE, and Cloud9.

A total of three casting pairs will be commentating on the live action, with Antwerp Major duo Sudhen "Bleh" Wahengbam and Vince "Vince" Hill, as well as youngsters Adam "Dinko" Hawthorne and Alex "hawka" Hawkins working on the group stage portion, before Anders "Anders" Blume and Jason "moses" O'Toole take over for the playoffs.

moses and Anders are great, for me would be better at Major than Hugo and Harry. Althoug this duo was great too, but not as memorable as this two boomers. About Dinko and hawka - they are good, but no compared to SPUNJ and Machine. Ynk and kassad for sure benefits this event, but I y prefere sjokz and Freya over stuna. Over all very good talent's pool, but lacking some great names to be elite one. Basiclie like whole this tourney - nice, really intresting, but missing some key teams

How to say you have zero understanding for casting without saying you have zero understanding of casting. The guy is one of the most underrated casters in the scene, and since when do you "witness" casting.

I'm more surprised that all these big names are playing this event FaZe i can kinda understand because the owner of roobet is friends with banks and other faze owners
2022-06-04 13:18
Anything that breaks the status quo of having a ESL monopoly that dominates the CSGO pro calendar is a good thing for the scene. Let's not try and pretend ESL has a superior or admirable sense of morality, considering they were bought out by Saudis and are also sponsored by the US military But go off anyway.
2022-06-04 13:58

When did i ever say that ESL is a good company or has good morals? I just don't think it's worth celebrating an online cup sponsored by actual scum. Also this event does fuck all for the csgo scene. The prize pool isn't even that big, it's just an ad for roobet and again, it's just an online cup. But go off, king

The entire point of the original comment was to highlight the fact that you can hold a tier 1 competition with multiple top 10 teams and a decent casting crew, without needing to be affiliated with ESL or Blast. Such events have barely existed in the past couple years outside of Valve sponsored events such as RMRs or Majors. I'm well aware of the fact that Roobet are run by scam artists but that doesn't deter from the original point, especially when most tournament organisers have a severe case of moral ambiguity. The quantity of prize money is not really relevant to the point I was trying to make.
2022-06-04 14:47

And i agree that having non-ESL and BLAST events is refreshing and good for the scene, but this is just not it.

Yes let me realize that Anders who has been longer in the cs scene, watched more proffesional counter-strike games and took more initiative to learn about the game in general than any of the plebs on this forum, has no good intel to offer to the ones watching. Anders is a legend, will always be a legend, and will always be a top 5 caster of counter-strike. A major without Anders is a joke.
