MOUZ dismantle Falcons to reach the semi-finals in Dubai

Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen’s men didn’t break a sweat in their opening GET series.

MOUZ came in as the clear favorites in their Global Esports Tour quarter-final bout against Falcons, who played in Dubai with Christophe "SIXER" Xia as a stand-in, and didn’t disappoint as they put on a decisive showing on both Nuke and Mirage to win 2-0.

This victory now puts MOUZ in the GET semi-finals where they will face Movistar Riders on Friday at 15:30 in the last match before the single-elimination bracket reaches its culminating series, the grand final, on Saturday.

MOUZ are through to the next round of the bracket

The quarter-final series started on Nuke, Falcons’ pick, with MOUZ taking a 2-0 lead after winning the pistol round. The Frenchmen then looked poised to charge through on the attack and make a dent in the half leaving things tied up after eight rounds, 4-4. But the Frenchmen deflated instead, getting just one more round in the half as Nicolas "Keoz" Dgus disappeared from the server without a frag until the second pistol round while Ali "hAdji" Haïnouss put in work to try and get his team back on track to no avail.

MOUZ then won the second pistol round to run away on the scoreboard, 13-5, before Falcons put together three successful defenses. It didn’t last longer than that, however, as Christopher "dexter" Nong and his men struck back with three of their own to seal the deal 16-8 going into their own map pick.

On Mirage, MOUZ immediately showed their teeth to take the series in two maps. David "frozen" Čerňanský and company went up 5-0 on the attack before Falcons could reply, keeping the Frenchmen honest throughout despite the CTs finally making the map competitive by bringing it to within one at the half.

SIXER, the stand-in, then won a crucial 1vs1 in the second pistol round to bring things back to even, but MOUZ hit right back in the forcebuy to regain the lead. A back-and-forth ensued, but didn’t last, as it was MOUZ who got in the driver’s seat and cruised to victory before Falcons could even hit double digits, 16-9, to lock in their place in the semis.

as a sinners fan, sad day. But yeah, even that was too close for the team level divide it should have been. MOUZ should not be celebrating these victories. those rounds won were not "they just got lucky". the other teams outplayed, outaimed, MOUZ need to understand they dont look good rn.

Well they need to sell their fans that they're improving. Because there is no way any tier 4 team will even have Dexter or JDC in their team, so they'd try and maximise their chances of clinging onto mouz
