BLAST Premier World Final to take place in Abu Dhabi in December

The event will take place in the United Arab Emirates as a part of a three-year deal with AD Gaming.

BLAST has announced that their eight-team, $1,000,000 World Final for 2022 will be hosted in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on December 14-18. The season-ending event will take place in the Etihad Arena on the Yas Island, which can fit up to 18,000 people.

Alongside the location announcement, BLAST have unveiled a three-year partnership with local company AD Gaming, committing to holding more events in the country. This tournament will mark BLAST's return to the Middle East after hosting the BLAST Pro Series Global Final 2019 in Bahrain.

BLAST's final event of the year will again be held in the Middle East

The five-day event will feature some of the best teams in the world, as the invites are given to winner of the two BLAST regular seasons, ESL Pro League seasons, and CS:GO Majors in 2022, with the two remaining spots being filled through the BLAST Ranking according to the rules.

Currently, Spring Final winners Natus Vincere and PGL Major and EPL S15 champions FaZe have already qualified, with the latter squad's double feat opening up another slot for teams coming from the BLAST ranking.

The team list for BLAST Premier World Final will looks a follows:

"Vince Hill, Frankie Ward, Harry Russell, and Hugo Byron are all on the list of CS:GO talent who have pulled out of BLAST events over the partnership." If it is only the same who do this as last time not much is really lost, Vince doesn't frequently do t1 events, Frankie is a worse host/interviewer than BanKs/Freya and I legitimately cant ever remember Harry and Hugo doing a BLAST event

This is so sad to see from Blast. Following in the footsteps of orgs like FIFA and IOK, putting tournaments in sketchy countries just for the sake of money. This is a country with no democracy, next to non human rights, the view on women is horrendous and It's illegal to be gay. You can literally be tortured by being gay. Are those values something Blast and most viewers want to support?
