syrsoN scoops Roobet Cup MVP award

The German AWPer added a career-second MVP medal to his resume after spearheading BIG's surprise victory.

Florian "syrsoN" Rische was named the HLTV x BitSkins MVP of Roobet cup following a 1.23-rated performance over 14 maps BIG played on their way to the title. The team ranked outside of the top 10 and managed to best favorites Cloud9 in the semi-final and FaZe in the grand final, with the sniper posting 1.30+ ratings in the two crucial games.

syrsoN was a nightmare for his opponents in the playoffs

While the likes of Dmitry "sh1ro" Sokolov, Benjamin "blameF" Bremer, and Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás posted higher overall ratings, syrsoN was the player that proved to be the biggest difference-maker for his team, especially in the late-tournament games. He also topped the charts in terms of K-D difference (+85) and AWP KPR (0.55) while sitting in the event top-5 for Impact, DPR, and KPR.

syrsoN sported the following skins in the tournament:

Sport Gloves | Arid | MW
AWP | Desert Hydra | FN
Butterfly Knife | Lore | FN

Find new skins on BitSkins.

This is syrsoN's second MVP, having won his first one at DreamHack Masters Spring in 2020, the year he was ranked the 10th best CS:GO player. Rating-wise, it was syrsoN's best performance since the PGL Major Antwerp Europe RMR, where he averaged a slightly higher 1.24, showing an uptick in performance before a return to LAN play for IEM Cologne.

Previous HLTV x BitSkins.com MVPs in 2022:

BLAST Premier Spring Finals - Ukraine Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev
Pinnacle Cup Championship - Denmark Benjamin "blameF" Bremer
IEM Dallas - Russia Sergey "Ax1Le" Rykhtorov
PGL Major Antwerp - Norway Håvard "rain" Nygaard
ESL Pro League Season 15 - Estonia Robin "ropz" Kool
IEM Katowice - Latvia Helvijs "broky" Saukants

The thing is though. He’s an absolute beast online, always going for aggressive plays which is his style, his mark on the game. Sadly on LAN he goes a lot from his aggressive syrsoN style to a normal AWPer. He still gets frags and isn’t a liability, but sadly he isn’t as good as he is online.

Yeah he is a little shy and nervous on LAN, kinda collapsed against C9 in Dallas. Still I think with a little more success (which I hope faveN and Krimbo can provide) he might be able to find this form on LAN too

+1, it's just a matter of confidence and the experience of playing on LAN. Once he gets a few more big LAN events under his belt and gets accustomed to the environment, he'll be able to replicate his online performances there too.

The problem is big itself is onliners not Syrson, hes pretty solid. Also big seems to be better with k1to maybe another factor

i find the stage events nice too but in the past people held lans to simply meet their gamer subculture and internet was shit these days its not like being able to perform infront of a crowd makes u better at the game in general. nowadays its simply for marketing and hype purposes mixed with nostalgia

He’s probably the biggest onliner the CSGO has ever seen. He insta becomes a god playing with underwear but he’s mediocre at LAN. It’s not a shot against him because if he gets his confidence straight on stage he can be one of the best awpers out there. And will probably become the only aggressive tier S awper (outside s1mple the rest are baiters)

I like faZe but this "fans" are more trash then this BR szene in the SK era. You will see a "faze up" or "go faze" only 1-2 times in 10 minutes but after every round that faze loose you see this ugly trashtalk. And i dont mean the normal trashtalk by CS Fans, this is coming cleary from faze "fans", who think that you need to win every round, every match. Ugly human beeings.
