Anthony "⁠CLASIA⁠" Kearney was removed from EG.CD's active roster due to persistent issues outside the server.

EG.CD have moved to CLASIA to the bench less than two months after Carpe Diem was folded into the Evil Geniuses organization. The EG.CD acquisition was made in June as part of EG's Blueprint project, which aims to evolve three different teams into a single, fluid, 15-man roster.

valens takes charge of EG's Counter-Strike division: "More support was required and I was the best suited to take that on"

The departing 18-year-old was the highest-rated player on EG.CD with a 1.10 rating, but lingering attitude issues that weren't being handled in a way the team was happy with ended up in the youngster being moved to the bench.

stanislaw is rumored to be EG.CD's new fifth

According to a report by Dust2.us, Peter "⁠stanislaw⁠" Jarguz will be joining the EG.CD roster in place of Anthony "⁠CLASIA⁠" Kearney. The Canadian IGL would therefore be making a return to EG, as he first joined the North American organization when he and his team made the switch from NRG in September 2019.

stanislaw was a part of Evil Geniuses for two years, during which he won several titles including StarSeries i-League Season 8 and ESL One New York 2019. Results worsened with time and a dry spell in 2021 led to his removal from the team in late in the year.

stanislaw then spent the first half of 2022 playing for BHOP in the lower reaches of North American competition, but he has since stated that he is seeking a return to competing on the world stage.

The news about EG.CD making changes comes shortly after a report by 1pv.fr regarding the main Evil Geniuses lineup, which mentions that the the North American organization is targeting Sanzhar "⁠neaLaN⁠" Iskhakov and Kévin "⁠misutaaa⁠" Rabier.

no they benched him because he was being a toxic asshole outside of the server not because of stanislaw. There is a difference (if he wasn’t so toxic he would still be on the lineup)

I remember reading an interview where he bragged about how little he and his old team practiced and said they could still beat some tier 3 NA teams without trying so that made it okay. This guy truly embodies all the worst parts of "NA CS" that people make fun of. Has the skill but won't put in the work inside or outside of the server to do anything with it. Hope this is a wake up call for him to grow up. If you want to be a pro, you have to treat it like any other job and take it seriously.

EG should've re-signed stanislaw for their main roster instead of picking up misutaaa and neaLan. Those were questionable signings lol. They have 3 rosters and rather than "poaching talent" from their 2 B-Tier rosters, they pick up non-star players from EU / the CIS region. EG have some decent players and the organization itself is better than most orgs, especially NA orgs, but I feel like they're repeating what Cloud9 and Complexity did within the past few years - executing a plan that seems like something they pulled out of a hat and "wasting money". Like come on, they have so many resources and this is the best they can do in terms of building a competitive, professional CSGO roster? This is the equivalent of EU Tier 2 CSGO teams if not worse.

It just feels like they have no long-term planning. Like the whole bring back the old C9 core (but only for a limited time) or the + MICHU and + oBo move (but only for a short amount of time). The org just looks scrappy in their approach although they do have decent players and they could make a good team by picking the best parts out of all 3 teams. Even if they just did a random shuffle of their players every 2 months it still would look like a mkre strategic and planned approach rather than what it currently looks like.

Well said. I agree that EG have no long-term planning. Yes, valens is smart, but the whole idea of having multiple competing rosters just sounds stupid to me if they can't even put together one decent roster to begin with. The whole project honestly feels like them trying to get the most worth / content that they can for the money they paid to hire valens. This data science / analyst stuff - it just doesn't make sense to house multiple rosters and changing which one gets to compete at an international LAN event if the organization is invited to participate in an event of that calibre.
