AGO announce new lineup, phr and snatchie return
The duo that brought AGO to the limelight in 2018 returns to the organization.
Polish esports organization AGO announced on Monday the acquisition of Michał "snatchie" Rudzki from Illuminar and the signing of Tomasz "phr" Wójcik and Grzegorz "jedqr" Jędras, previously from Wisla Krakow, from free agency.
Returning from the last project is Eryk "leman" Kocęba as the rifler comes back to the active lineup after spending a month on the bench. Damian "Furlan" Kislowski, meanwhile, remains the longest-serving member of the squad with more than five years of service for "The Hawks."
This is snatchie's third stint with the organization. The AWPer spent time with the organization in 2017-18, and later in 2021 before moving to Anonymo first and Wisla Krakow later. The football club-backed organization shut down its esports division at the end of June and the 24-year-old was released alongside jedqr. The rifler currently displays a 1.06 overall rating and a 1.13 LAN rating across the last eight months.
phr also makes his return to AGO after spending three years away from the organization. The in-game leader was part of AGO between 2017-2019 and spent the following years playing for both Polish and European teams such as Virtus.pro, Illuminar, and Finest.
The core of phr, Furlan, and snatchie was at the center of AGO's success in 2018 as the Polish squad peaked at the No.16 spot on the world rankings after respectable placings at StarSeries i-League Season 5 and DreamHack Open Summer. Following snatchie's departure to Virtus.pro, the team also claimed a second-place finish at WESG World Finals 2018.
The new-look AGO will debut at ESL Challenger League Season 42 Europe and will share Group D with Sprout, K23, and Entropiq.
