Liquid release 'The story of nitr0: Return of NA's captain'

Nick "nitr0" Cannella headlines a mini-documentary which dives into the veteran's Counter-Strike story and his recent return to the game.

Liquid have released the first episode of 'Liquid Legends,' a video series in which the North American organization shines the spotlight on some of their staple players and dives into their esports story.

The first member to feature in the series is nitr0, who has spent nearly six years under the Liquid banner across two stints and became of the most accomplished North American players while part of the organization.

With the help of insight from people such as Liquid's General Manager Steve "jokasteve" Perino, nitr0's wife, Harper Cannella, and nitr0 himself, the mini-documentary reflects back on the time when nitr0 first joined Liquid in 2015 to form its first-ever CS:GO roster and dives into his growth inside and outside of the organization from that point on.

The video delves into the veteran's evolution into an in-game leader in his early years, the 2019 run during which Liquid won the Intel Grand Slam and became the world's best team, as well as his motivations behind the move to VALORANT and eventual return to Counter-Strike earlier this year.

In terms of awping and other mechanics hes not great, but he's one of Na's greatest igls there's no denying that. I don't think hes overrated.
2022-09-10 03:08
I mean honestly, who can say that he is even remotely overrated? He never really receives the spotlight nor credit

Underrated* Like for real, he was one of the players that wanted to show off his skills but overtime he comitted to the team, taking roles he didn't want (like IGL'ing without much experience and even AWPing) and thanks to that he was part of a team winner of a Grand Slam.

It's a multi-part documentary of Liquid's most notable players and their history, so it's probably on the front page more because of its magnitude. I don't think Striker would write an article about it if he was paid to, probably just because not a lot of orgs do this kind of thing anymore (FaZe is the only one that comes to mind)

Pretty much spot on by minte - it's just a well-produced video about one of the most storied players in the game, which we feel like people want to see. We have posted in the past about similar projects and it has nothing to do with a partnership or sponsorship :)

thats hardly gla1ves work my guy. without blameF carrying astralis basically every event, they would dance with complexity and renegades in t2 right now.

apart from gla1ve and blamef the team's been an absolute shit show, again gla1ve can only do so much with what he has and gettin to top 5 is massive W. if astralis were to get es3tag and device the team is winning another major no cap

ah thats how it is, you are one of those guys that still cant get over it that dev1ce is retired.. and es3tag is hardly t1, that would make astralis even worse

2022-09-09 23:59

2022-09-10 06:41
All the Teams always need one piece, doesn't mean he's the only good one in the team. Navi got B1t and started winning, faze got ropz and started winning. Now, hopefully liquid will start winning after Yekindar joins liquid (if hasn't been signed already)
