maLeK transitions into Strategic Coach for EG
The Frenchman returns to an active role in the organisation after a messy split back in May.
Evil Geniuses have revealed that Damien "maLeK" Marcel will shift to a Strategic Coach position in the organisation, where he will work with all four of the lineups currently under the EG banner.
The news comes almost four months after Evil Geniuses moved the coach to an inactive role within the organisation following a run of poor results, where the side notably missed out on a spot in the PGL Antwerp Major.

Evil Geniuses have invested heavily into their Counter-Strike division in recent times. The organisation famously launched their Blueprint project back in June which brought on EG White and EG Black in a bid to create a fluid 15-man lineup, before entering the women's scene with the signing of EG Gold last month.
The Blueprint experiment has already been used to some effect; Jadan "HexT" Postma was promoted to the main lineup from EG Black in August, with William "RUSH" Wierzba going the other way in a bid to bring some tier one experience to the developmental roster.
maLeK's moving into the new role adds a new layer to Evil Geniuses's staff structure, with Daniel "Vorborg" Vorborg being recruited as the main team's head coach just last month as a part of their off-season roster overhaul.
Evil Geniuses will also be hoping that maLeK's return to an active role within the organisation will help improve their chances at a successful ESL Pro League Season 16 Group D run. The North American roster finished the past three seasons in joint-last place, winning just one series in that time frame.
