Eternal Fire clinch ESL Challenger Rotterdam spot over Entropiq
Ismailcan "XANTARES" Dörtkardeş and company completed the lower-bracket run to qualify for the Dutch event.
The ESL Challenger Rotterdam European closed qualifier has drawn to a close, with Eternal Fire securing a first-place finish to lock in an appearance at the $100,000 event in the Netherlands.
The Turkish side completed the lower-bracket run to pull off their qualification, staving off elimination with wins over FORZE, Sprout, 1WIN, and Iron Branch, before moving past Entropiq 2-0 in the grand finals.
Eternal Fire have a busy schedule ahead of them for the next few weeks. The Engin "MAJ3R" Küpeli-led lineup will first head to Malta for their ESL Pro League Season 16 Group D and IEM Road to Rio Europe RMR campaigns, before travelling to the Netherlands shortly afterwards for ESL Challenger Rotterdam.
Eternal Fire are the penultimate team to secure their spot in the Dutch tournament, joining Nixuh and Fluxo who survived the South African and South American qualifiers, respectively, to guarantee an appearance at the event.
The three teams will go up against Movistar Riders, MOUZ, ENCE, and Outsiders, who all received direct invites thanks to their placing on the ESL ranking. The winner of the North American closed qualifier will fill the last spot up for grabs, with ATK currently waiting to find out their grand final opponent.
ESL Challenger Rotterdam will play out from October 14-16 and feature a $50,000 cash prize alongside a place in ESL Pro League Season 17 Conference for the winner.
