sausol completes Movistar Riders move
The former MAD Lions and Partizan player has replaced Raúl "DeathZz" Jordán Nieto on Movistar Riders.
Movistar Riders have announced the completion of the transfer of Pere "sausol" Solsona Saumell from Partizan. The 22-year-old comes in to take DeathZz's place on the Spanish roster in the second move the organization has undergone in as many months.
The team previously signed Antonio "Martinez" Martinez following the departure of their star sniper, Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia, to ENCE in the August tournament break.

The loss of SunPayus, who had been at the forefront of their title-winning campaign at ESL Challenger Valencia and run to the semi-finals at IEM Cologne, saw Movistar Riders experience a tough fall from grace in the past two months.

Following the changes, the Spaniards failed to qualify for the IEM Road to Rio Europe RMR, finished at the bottom of Group D at ESL Pro League Season 16 with just one map win over five series, and exited ESL Challenger Rotterdam in the group stage.
Movistar Riders will now attempt to get back on track with their newest addition of sausol. The 22-year-old first came up through the Spanish scene with Cream in 2019 before he joined MAD Lions in 2021 and began turning heads with impressive performances on the tier-two scene.
In the latter half of 2021 sausol's individual level dropped off and he was subsequently benched from MAD Lions at the end of the year. In 2022 he teamed up with former CR4ZY coach and FunPlus Phoenix in-game leader Luka "emi" Vuković, first on Coalesce before putting together a new team alongside the Serbian in Partizan in August. He has averaged a 1.05 rating this year, mainly playing against sub-top-50 competition.
Movistar Riders' lineup looks as follows:
Alejandro "mopoz" Fernández-Quejo Cano
Alejandro "alex" Masanet
David "dav1g" Granado Bermudo
Antonio "Martinez" Martinez
Pere "sausol" Solsona Saumell
Galder "bladE" Barcena (coach)
