Falcons announce kennyS signing
The Major winner returns to active competition for the first time in 18 months.
Saudi Arabian esports organization Falcons announced the signing of Kenny "kennyS" Schrub to their CS:GO lineup. The experienced Frenchman was acquired to replace Bryan "Maka" Canda after the team's decision to bench the AWPer following their failure to qualify for the IEM Rio Major 2022.
G2 announced kennyS' departure earlier on Tuesday, ending an almost six-year stint with the organization which included three LAN trophies and several runner-up finishes.

The 27-year-old is one of the most experienced individuals in the French CS:GO scene, but has not competed consistently for 18 months following his move to G2's inactive roster. The last time kennyS fought on the server was at IEM Winter 2021, where he replaced Nemanja "nexa" Isaković on the starting lineup due to the in-game leader's visa issues barring him from attending the event.
"I think I deserve one last chance to finish my career in a way that is not being on the bench. I’m grateful I have the opportunity to do things differently. It feels amazing to be back. I’m really happy," said kennyS in an interview with Dexerto.

The player also talked about his struggles while competing for French teams, but that his reunion with Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt was a big factor in his decision to come back to his native scene: “Maybe it’s because I have a really big ego. Maybe they don’t like that, the competitive mindset that I have. They always tend to like more quiet players, which I can understand."
"NBK is one of those who have always respected me as a player. I know he still does."
The AWPer discussed his main goal to reach the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023: "I have played so many Majors, and missing the Rio Major was already quite painful. At least trying to qualify for the BLAST Major is something I really want to do. The Paris Major is definitely the biggest objective and something I will grind for."
Falcons are now:
