oskar departs TITANS: "What a wasted year for me once again"
The Czech AWPer leaves TITANS claiming the Swiss organization did not meet "contractual agreements."
Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný has announced his departure from TITANS. In his short statement on Twitter, the 31-year-old said the decision came after "contractual agreements were not met," further fueling reports of the Swiss organization owing money to some of their players.
"Happy to say that today is the day I am finally out of the Titans show [clown emoji]," oskar's Tweet says. "The decision was made since the contractual agreements were not met and I am looking forward to my new journey. What a wasted year for me once again."
The Swiss organization was launched in April 2021 but did not go official under the TITANS brand until nearly a year and a half later. Playing under several different tags such as GORILLAZ and Tokyo Revengers during that time, only Miikka "suNny" Kemppi remained on the roster through many different iterations, none of which amounted to much success on the international scene.
In early October, most of the players of the last iteration of TITANS — oskar, suNny, Anton "supra" Tšernobai, and Sergey "lmbt" Bezhanov — were listed for transfer, and shortly after that, Magnus "Nodios" Olsen' contract was terminated and Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen's expired.
Nodios has since gone on record in a Danish podcast called 'Bootcamp' saying he was owed between 75,000 to 100,000 DKK (approximately $10,000 to $14,000) in salary and bootcamp expenses but gave up a part of the money to get out of his contract with TITANS. The Dane also said that he believes "a big case" is going to be made against the Swiss organization from the former players over being owed "a lot of money."
The following quartet is believed to be under contract with TITANS:
