oskar returns to SINNERS; forsyy benched
The 31-year-old is back with his former squad after eight months in the failed TITANS project.
SINNERS announced the return of star AWPer Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný, who joins the squad after nine months playing in the TITANS' international lineup. The European squad floundered since its inception at the beginning of the year, with no notable results to show for, and oskar even called it a "wasted year" before announcing his move back to his country's top team.
The roster change also comes at a time of strife for the Czech side, who suffered an early exit from ESL Challenger League Season 43 Europe, where they placed 17-24th overall after losing back-to-back matches against Movistar Riders and K23.
The 31-year-old previously spent a year with SINNERS, from December 2020 to January 2022, and dominated the local scene while fighting in second tier tournaments, even winning the ESEA Premier Season 37 which secured the side a spot at ESL Pro League Season 14.
David "forsyy" Bílý was brought on to replace oskar earlier in the year, which caused a shift in game style for SINNERS due to the AWPers' differences in approach. Sebastian "beastik" Daňo described the veteran sniper's style to be more adaptive to different scenarios, whereas forsyy played in a much more structured and patient approach.
The team's structure change didn't bear fruits, however, and SINNERS failed to qualify for the PGL Major in Antwerp from the European RMR with a heartbreaking 2-3 record. It only got worse from there, and they were then unable to progress through the IEM Road to Rio Open Qualifiers altogether after losing star rifler Adam "NEOFRAG" Zouhar to OG.
Though oskar has already joined SINNERS' active roster, he will not be competing in their upcoming Sazka eCUP Fall match against ECLOT and the team will still retain their previous roster featuring forsyy.
SINNERS' lineup is now:
David "forsyy" Bílý (benched)
Tomáš "Tomkeejs" Tomka (coach)
