IESF World Championship set to start
Over 30 national teams will make the trip to Bali, Indonesia, for the chance to earn the lion's share of $100,000.
The IESF World Championship is due to begin on Friday, December 2, featuring national teams from all around the world. Play will begin with the offline qualifier, where 31 teams will battle it out for the chance to win one of three spots up for grabs for the main $100,000 event.
HLTV.org will be covering the event with hot matches from the Round of 16 stage of the offline qualifier. The main, eight-team portion of the event begins on December 6 and will play out in a double-elimination format, working its way up to a best-of-five grand final on Sunday, December 11.

Five of the eight teams that will participate in the main event are already known. Indonesia are in the running to win the $50,000 cash prize thanks to being the host nation. Argentina earned a place due to their first-place finish in the IESF Panam Open, while BLUEJAYS, Algeria, and Vietnam all won their respective continent's championship.
The majority of the rosters in the competition are represented by a mix of players from different teams, though a handful of nations have existing quintets as their representatives. BIG Academy will be playing for Germany at the event whilst OneTap and the Major-attending IHC will be flying the Romanian and Mongolian flag, respectively.
A total of 31 teams will be throwing their hat into the ring for the offline qualifier. The rosters will be placed into eight groups, where the national rosters will battle it out in a best-of-one, round-robin format. The top two from each group will secure a playoff berth, which will have a single-elimination set-up and offer just three spots for the main event.
BLUEJAYS, who are one of the highest-ranked teams in the event, travel to Bali with the aim of taking home their second first-place prize at the event; the North Macedonian roster reigned supreme in the IESF World Championship in 2021, where they beat OneTap 2-0 in the grand final.
