k0nfig to stand in for Heroic at BLAST World Final
Heroic will be without Martin "stavn" Lund, who will rest during the last event of the year.
Heroic have announced that they will be giving stavn extra time off this winter break and he will not travel with the rest of the team to Abu Dhabi, UAE, for the BLAST Premier World Final.
The Danish squad, who just became the world's top side in the HLTV ranking after their first Big Event LAN victory at the BLAST Premier Fall Final on home soil, will therefore field Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke as a substitute for the 20-year-old.

k0nfig will make his LAN return for the first time since his contract was terminated by Astralis in October after a tarnishing altercation with a club promoter in Malta that resulted in physical injury was made public. The Danish squad was struggling at the time, having failed to qualify for the IEM Rio Europe RMR and flopping out of ESL Pro League in 13-16th place, which also prompted the organization to make changes.
The 25-year-old, who stated in November that he is ready to return to action after working with a therapist, will have a chance to show himself on the world stage with his countrymen and notorious rivals of his former Astralis teammates, although after a particularly bad year Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander and his men will not be in attendance at the BLAST World Final. The tournament, which will close out 2022, will run on December 14-18.

Heroic will field the following team in Abu Dhabi:
Casper "cadiaN" Møller
René "TeSeS" Madsen
Rasmus "sjuush" Beck
Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard
Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke (stand-in)
Richard "Xizt" Landström (coach)
