GenOne win $175,000 in WhiteBIT Community Clash LAN

The French squad, representing KRL Clan, received their prize in the form of Tether cryptocurrency coin (USDT).

GenOne easily defeated WINDINGO Community to win the WhiteBIT Community Clash by FACEIT in Valencia, securing themselves a $175,000 prize in the form of USDT. They crushed their South American counterparts 2-0 on Overpass (16-6) and Nuke (16-6).

The WhiteBIT Community Clash was an event hosted by FACEIT that allowed players to join "clans" made by streamers and communities from across Europe and Latin America, and then compete in FACEIT matchmaking to earn points for their chosen clan. Clans were created by a range of CS:GO personalities, with Jacob "Pimp" Winneche and Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski among those involved, as well teams including the likes of Natus Vincere, Astralis and G2.

SIXER topped the scoreboards across both series GenOne played

Clans then competed through several stages which ultimately culminated in a qualifier for each region, Europe and South America, where the eight best-performing clans selected teams of five to compete for a chance to make the LAN finals. The top two teams from each qualifier earned a spot at the LAN in Valencia.

GenOne and Blade Community made it through the European qualifier, besting teams that contained names such as Shuaib "D0cC" Ahmad, Sergiy "DemQQ" Demchenko and Hubert "szejn" Światły to earn their berths. WINDINGO Community and Los Grandes Community came through the South America qualifier.

Multiple familiar names ended up taking part in the LAN finals, with Max "SHOCK" Kvapil and Tomáš "Tomkeejs" Tomka of SINNERS forming part of the Blade Community roster and Luca "Luken" Nadotti turning out for WINDINGO Community.

The action in Valencia saw GenOne take on their fellow European qualifiers, Blade Community, in the semi-finals, and the French side dispatched of their Czech counterparts 2-0 to progress. On the other side of the bracket, WINDINGO Community also took down their opposition, Los Grandes Community, 2-0 to grab a spot in the final. GenOne were then ultimately triumphant over their South American opponents.

The GenOne roster that won the tournament gets to take home a $175,000 USDT grand prize, with another $825,000 USDT being distributed to other members from KRL Clan based on their individual rankings throughout previous stages of the tournament.

The final standings for the LAN final were:

1. France GenOne - $175,000
2. Argentina WINDINGO Community
3-4. Brazil Los Grandes Community
3-4. Czech Republic Blade Community

KRL made the first genone roster, out of random upcoming french youngsters, and they got bought by LDLC after a year or something like that then he made a second genone roster, this one, with mainly younger players around some more experienced ones

Hi, let me quickly explain: KRL is a French streamer with a good 2000/5000 viewers. He created a team because he loves cs:go too much and he wants to revive the French scene. He therefore created GenOne with 5 French people. These 5 French were seen by LDLC, KRL gave them the 5 players without asking for money! LDLC therefore has the GenOne roster. Except that KRL didn't stop there and created a second GenOne team, and that's the one we're talking about. They have never been paid, KRL likes to say that he pays them in applesauce and orange juice, which is true.

Actually this roster is even the 3rd version, having retained from the 2nd roster only Neooo and Nono2k. Jeyn was recruited after the 2nd inception and Sixer and wasink were brought to the project after Ambush disbanded. They had an early showing in cash cup and local french Lans but they are not yet ready to tackle bigger foes (as shown by recent defeats in ESEA adv and Bitcoin tournament). the money won here will greatly help them step up (plus other french sub-top non-payed teams that participated in the event)
2022-12-11 22:31
Yeah that just proves you don't know shit
2022-12-11 22:39
Bro, all u said is wrong. And GenOne is LITERALLY a community team. If they play together, it's only beacause of KRL stream.

Nobody cares about the win in itself however the prizepool will help GenOne financially speaking because they aren't a pro team for the year to come as well as french players from lower teams who also earned money.

No. GenOne is the org created by the biggest csgo streamer in France KRL at the start of 2021. The old GenOne roster was recruited by LDLC at the start of 2022. The players in GenOne have no contract whatsoever. They're free to be picked by any org. KRL is trying to develop our scene by paying them bootcamps and LANs. There is a lack of orgs and opportunities compared to others scenes here so someone like SIXER was teamless and its big to have him in the roster. Some players are students, another is working etc. Now they have the chance to invest more time into csgo.

Because the face of the clan is KRL.He is a streamer but also the ceo of "Genone" an unpaid academy project with 1 goal : find contracts for the promising french players. He selected the first lineup himself composed of unknown faceit players and after a year signed them for free to ldlc. LDLC chose to give him 50k to make a v2. He created a lineup but it was not sucessfull and after multiple changes sixer and wasink joined (2month ago) since then they started winning. When the community clash was announced we all knew that the goal for our clan was so send genone to valencia.

Each winner will receive instructions to their FACEIT email within 2 months after the Finals end. We highly suggest creating a WhiteBIT account and complete the KYC process on their platform ahead of time." It's on here clash.faceit.com/ if you scroll to the faq
