wiz promoted to Evil Geniuses
The 21-year-old will debut at the BLAST Premier Spring Groups.
Evil Geniuses have announced that Jerric "wiz" Jiang, previously of EG Black, will take up AWPing duties for the squad beginning with BLAST Premier Spring Groups. The news comes not long after Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov ended his three-year stint with the organisation.

Evil Geniuses revamped their squad mid-way through last year after a consistent period of underwhelming performances dating back to the end of 2021. Whilst the changes brought about an improvement in the team's form, as evidenced by the fact they avoided finishing joint-last in ESL Pro League for the first time in multiple attempts, they failed to make much headway at the IEM Rio Major or make it through the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown.

Their newly-promoted player wiz spent the latter half of 2022 playing for EG Black, having built his name in the North American scene playing for RBG and briefly Carpe Diem. The young AWPer performed admirably during his time with EG Black, posting a healthy 1.14 rating and an impressive +286 kill differential.
Evil Geniuses will debut their new AWPer on Thursday January 19 as they kick off their BLAST Premier Spring Groups campaign against Heroic. That match will take place at 15:00 , and you can catch the action on the BLAST Premier Twitch channel.
Evil Geniuses are now:
Timothy "autimatic" Ta
Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte
Sanzhar "neaLaN" Iskhakov
Jadan "HexT" Postma
Jerric "wiz" Jiang
Daniel "Vorborg" Vorborg (coach)
