IHC claim last Asian spot at ESL Pro League Season 17
Garidmagnai "bLitz" Byambasuren led by example during IHC's qualification match against Lynn Vision.
IHC became the second team from ESL Pro League Season 17 Conference Asia to qualify for EPL. The Mongolian squad clinched the last spot after beating Lynn Vision in the lower bracket and join Rare Atom as the two Asian teams at the Maltese tournament.
Tuvshintugs "Annihilation" Nyamdorj and bLitz were the two standout players for IHC during the online event and the final match was no different as they topped the scoreboard in the series against the Chinese squad.

It will be IHC's first-ever appearance at ESL Pro League, but the Mongolians are no stranger to international events after attending both the PGL Antwerp and IEM Rio Majors in 2022. Their qualification run for EPL started at ESL Challenger League S43 Asia-Pacific in December, when IHC secured their spot at EPL Conference after reaching the finals of the online event.
The Mongolians lost their opening match at EPL conference against Rare Atom and were relegated to the lower bracket, where they faced Lynn Vision. It was a great revenge opportunity for IHC as they had lost to Heng "expro" Yang's men three times since October at ECL S42 APAC, ECL S43 APAC, and eXTREMESLAND Festival 2022.

The Chinese squad stole Inferno (16-11) before IHC answered on Overpass (16-14) and Nuke (16-7). bLitz led his team by example, registering a 1.29 rating across the three maps to push his team to victory, but it was Sodbayar "Techno" Munkhbold that shined the brightest on the decider with a 1.46 rating on Nuke.
Only three spots at ESL Pro League Season 17 remain to be claimed, with one team each from South America, North America, and Europe left to qualify for the Maltese LAN in the coming days.
The current list of teams attending EPL Season 17 is as follows:
