Liquid ease past Complexity in Denmark
Johnny "JT" Theodosiou's side have been cast down to the knockout stage following losses to Liquid and FaZe.
Liquid have kept themselves alive in Group B of BLAST Premier Spring after dominating Complexity 2-0 in the lower bracket, crushing their countrymen 16-2 on Anubis before eventually closing out Overpass 16-12.
The victory sets Liquid up with a rematch against OG, who they fell to in 0-2 fashion in their opening match of the tournament. Complexity, conversely, have been sent to the knockout stage of the tournament following back-to-back losses to FaZe and Liquid, resulting in a last-place finish in their group. They will have one final chance to qualify for the Spring Final, but will need to win two best-of-threes, including one over the second place team from Group C.

The match itself had little to write home about and was highlighted by a peculiar veto, something Nick "nitr0" Cannella spoke about following the match. Complexity's decision to pick into Anubis, their first official game on the map, ended up backfiring in spectacular fashion as they mustered just two rounds at the tail end of their T side effort, which ended up as the only rounds the team would manage on the map.

Following the end of the series, Michael "Grim" Wince shared some words on why they picked Anubis, stating that it was a map that Complexity were dominating on in practice, and one they felt extremely comfortable on going into the series. It is clear they'll have to go back to the drawing board after this performance, though, and will need to make efficient use of the demo to fix up some of their mistakes before their next outing on the map.
Overpass, the second map of the series, began as Anubis had ended. Liquid were in blistering form coming out of the gates, and quickly ran away with an 8-1 lead before Complexity drudged together five rounds toward the end of the half to keep themselves competitive heading into the side swap.
A victory in the second pistol round gave Complexity the window they needed to even the score, but they immediately faltered to a force-buy from Liquid in the ensuing round. Liquid further extended their lead from there, but they weren't running away with the map quite yet.
Complexity seemed to have the better of their North American opponents on gun rounds and could well have stolen the map away to force a decider, but were unable to convert against Liquid's pistols time and time again. Four advantageous rounds were squandered by JT's side as Liquid pushed onward to victory, leaving Complexity with a heartbreaking Overpass performance to look back on — a map that well should have gone their way if not for multiple wasted opportunities.
