FURIA among 11 teams invited to IEM Brazil

00NATION, paiN, and 9z will have opportunities to make it to the event through closed qualifiers.

ESL has announced the list of teams that have been directly invited to IEM Brazil, which is slated to take place from April 17-23 — directly between the BLAST.tv Paris Major RMR events and the Major itself — with $250,000 on offer.

Six teams, including Natus Vincere, FaZe, and Vitality, received invites based on their partner status with ESL, while another four join the list based on their ESL global world ranking. FURIA earned the sole invite dedicated to "local heroes," giving the event at least one guaranteed team to represent Brazil on home turf.

FURIA will represent Brazil at the tournament in April

Simultaneously, the teams invited to the regional closed qualifiers were also announced. ENCE, BIG, Bad News Eagles, and Sprout feature on the list for Europe, while 00NATION and 9z secured invites to the South America qualifier. paiN also have the chance to make it to Brazil through the North America qualifier, alongside Complexity, with Lynn Vision and IHC completing the list of invites for Asia.

It sucks as an NA fan but Daps mentioned that they were on the road for close to 300 days for the year in 2022, I think they're gonna sit this one out for rest since they can't sit out either the Paris Major or IEM Dallas.
