HEET to reform without JACKZ; set to add Maka - Report

The French team will part ways with its latest signing after just five months and bring on another known name in the form of Bryan "⁠Maka⁠" Canda, while Lucas "⁠Lucky⁠" Chastang is set to make his return to the active roster.

HEET's rebuild will not include Audric "⁠JACKZ⁠" Jug, according to the latest report from 1pv.fr. In his place, Lucky will make his return to the squad after a stint on the bench, joined by TGJ's Matthieu "⁠Razzmo⁠" Mellot and Maka of Falcons.

The report comes a few days after the organization released Alexandre "⁠bodyy⁠" Pianaro and Aurélien "⁠afro⁠" Drapier as the two players prepare to join Falcons and LDLC, respectively.

JACKZ leaves HEET after joining in August

1pv.fr do not specify the reasons why JACKZ has been sidelined ahead of the team's rebuild, but it includes details about the player's complicated relationship with the organization. According to the report HEET has yet to fully repay the 30-year-old for the buyout from G2, an operation in the region of $75,000, which he advanced when the transfer was agreed.

Lucky's return to the squad will be straightforward as the Frenchman is still under contract with HEET. The 24-year-old was benched from the squad in August, but recently featured for the team at ESL Challenger League Season 43 Europe Relegation as bodyy took a short break from competition.

HEET part ways with afro and bodyy *

Maka spent the last three months on Falcons' bench following Kenny "⁠kennyS⁠" Schrub's return to Counter-Strike with the Saudi Arabian organization. The move would effectively result in him and bodyy swapping positions, as the ex-HEET in-game leader is rumored to join Falcons and reunite with Nathan "⁠NBK-⁠" Schmitt and kennyS.

Razzmo will round out the new roster ahead of the 2023 season. The 21-year-old has competed with TGJ since March and only has one event registered on HLTV, ESL National Championship France Autumn 2021, where he registered a 0.64 rating against HEET's core competing under DBL PONEY.

I think Heet we're daft to let Jack's be second awp. Should of utilised him better on T side for hard entries. The team felt it was going to where unless some individual brilliance lit up the server. Hopefully Heet can build the right environment for these players to thrive in. GL

I hope for Maka that it will work, but he himself admitted several times in stream that being a leader did not necessarily correspond to him very well and that it was complicated to pair with the awp. I would have preferred him to join a project with a leader in place

Can you develop? Because for a few weeks the leaks on this subject have been multiplying on the French scene, and we now have a fairly clear idea of what happened at Heet, without even mentioning the fact that this is not the first time that the owners of this org have recourse to this kind of process

From what i know the team asked for Jackz and even when the answer was its not possible, they still put pressure to sign jackz and if that wasnt true why would jackz pay for his own transfer to begin with? And from the statement they made they say they want to pay back.

Except that they are betting on fundraising to reimburse it, and from what we know this fundraising was a failure. And Jackz isn't the only player they owe money to, bodyy does too. A few months ago they had to lay off staff to pay the players, and despite that they engaged in expensive moves like the acquisition of Jackz, it makes no sense to do that when you have no money . Whether it's dishonesty or incompetence, it doesn't change anything, they screwed up, and it's the players who pay the price. You have to understand one thing: if bodyy, who is at the origin of the project, carried this team on his shoulders from DBL, even if it meant refusing offers to stay with them, ended up leaving, it's because the situation is very bad. I really wish them the best, because the French scene needs structures capable of paying players, but the information that has leaked in recent weeks does not suggest a happy ending for HEET
