Take a look through some of the highlight moments and reactions from players at the first Big Event of 2023.

IEM Katowice kicked off with its Play-In stage on February 1, whittling down an initial pool of 16 teams to determine which eight that would advance to the group stage. Ten more teams were then eliminated when IEM Katowice's top-17 stage got underway, with FaZe notably bowing out following a loss to Liquid in the lower bracket final of Group A.

HLTV's photographers Radosław "⁠MAKKU⁠" Makuch and Josip "⁠brcho⁠" Brtan were on hand to capture the emotions of players at the event as they secured victory or were sent packing from the tournament, and we've gathered some of the highlight moments below ahead of the playoffs in the Spodek Arena.

Its strange that their are zero pictures from IHC guys despite them performing quite well.

there is 1 picture of them fistbumping but there is no fnatic or outsiders i noticed

The photo of Naf and Twistzz is very emotional. They are very good friends and always support each other. I wish Twistzz was on Liquid :/

I really miss Twistzz seeing him under the Liquid jersey. I miss the moments when these two messed up again and didn't even give their opponents a chance. I hope they play with Liquid again in the future (as soon as possible).

probably they got their medals in play-in stage

Kscerato and yuriih were eliminated in play-in stage but there are photos of them on the site. I thought sh1ro and ax1le recieved the medals at the award show, but there are only photos of ax1le standing on stage holding statuette and sh1ro in auditorium.
