ropz claims ESL Pro League Season 17 MVP award
The Estonian rifler's stellar form and consistent performances in Malta earned him his third Most Valuable Player (MVP) medal.
Robin "ropz" Kool has clinched the HLTV x 1xBet MVP award for ESL Pro League Season 17 following FaZe's 3-1 victory over Cloud9 in the grand final.
The 23-year-old ended the tournament as the joint second-highest rated player — tied with Sergey "Ax1Le" Rykhtorov — with a 1.27 rating, and topped the board for FaZe in the grand final with a 1.28 rating across the four maps played.
ropz ended second in rating only to Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut, who averaged an absurd 1.48 rating and 1.64 impact across nine maps before being eliminated by ENCE in the quarter-finals. The Estonian rifler maintained his level across 18 maps and was pivotal in helping FaZe clinch the trophy, with that outcome and his level in the grand final ultimately pushing him past Ax1Le to take home the medal.

Alongside his performance in the title decider, ropz put in work for FaZe in earlier series against Ninjas in Pyjamas, FORZE, and Natus Vincere. His best overall showing was against Ninjas in Pyjamas in the group stage, where he averaged a 1.58 rating across two maps, while his highest-rated map was a 1.73 rating on Inferno versus FORZE, a carry-level performance which resulted in a narrow 16-13 victory for FaZe.
Overall, ropz ended the event with a 1.24 impact rating, 0.77 KPR, 0.56 DPR, and 83.4 ADR, and was phenomenally consistent against the best teams in the tournament, his statistics barely wavering when matched up against more difficult opponents.
He ended up in the top five of six different categories on the statistics leaderboard, including K-D differential (+98, #4), damage difference per round (+17.8, tied #4), KAST (77.1%, #3), and total headshots (189, #4).
This is ropz's third career MVP award, with his previous medals coming from superlative performances in two previous ESL Pro League seasons, 10 and 15.
