Former IHC players revive TheMongolz ahead of RMR

The top Mongolian team will play under the famous tag moving forward.

MESA, the Mongolian tournament organizer charged with the BLAST.tv Paris Major Asia RMR, has announced that the former IHC squad will be competing at the aforementioned event in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, under TheMongolz.

The Mongolian side is the top-ranked team heading into the RMR and will now play with the weight of a historical jersey that was worn by the likes of Enkhtaivan "⁠Machinegun⁠" Lkhagva, Temuulen "⁠Zilkenberg⁠" Battulga, and Erdenedalai "⁠maaRaa⁠" Bayanbat — who is now TheMongolz coach —, at past Big Events such as IEM Katowice and IEM Oakland.

Before the players' departure from IHC the organization came under fire when the founders of the cryptocurrency that gave the esports team its name were arrested, although the esports division's chairman, Dave Lee, denied having anything to do with the arrests.

On the sporting side, TheMongolz have undergone recent changes, parting ways with Bat-Enkh "⁠kabal⁠" Batbayar and Tengis "⁠sk0R⁠" Batjargal while bringing on Baatarkhuu "⁠Bart4k⁠" Batbold and more recently Chinguun "⁠hasteka⁠" Bayarmaa.

The Mongolian side, currently 22nd in the team ranking, will play their first match with their newcomer hasteka at the RMR when they start their run at the tournament on home soil against Twisted Minds on Thursday, April 6 at 08:30 .

TheMongolz will not be the only Mongolian side in Ulaanbaatar competing for a spot at the Major, however, as Gan-Erdene "⁠dobu⁠" Batbold's Eruption will also be representing the East Asian country that is slowly becoming a regional stronghold.
