b0denmaster, djay leave ATK *
The Swedish AWPer has returned to Europe following his contract expiry in February.
Update 23:15 : Jonathan "djay" Dallal has also announced his departure from the team, sharing his thoughts via TwitLonger. "I just wanted to take a moment to inform you all that the team has opted to remove me from the team."
"Its clear I failed to find my individual form on the team so it was an understandable decision," said the 29-year-old, who has been with ATK since December 2022.
Jonathan "b0denmaster" Bodenmalm has announced his departure from the ATK roster on Twitter. The 25-year-old and his teammates have been free agents since February 28 after their contracts with the South African organization expired, according to a report by Dust2.us, with b0denmaster playing from Europe since then.
In a Twitlonger, the Swede talked about the difficulties of playing on a North American time zone and server while living in Europe. "After playing from Europe to North American servers for the last 2 months, me and the team have decided that I'm not gonna play until the situation has been sorted out," he wrote.
"Having me on such a high ping and even playing from 2 AM to 6 AM in the morning is not fun or healthy for me and I can't contribute to the team as I should." b0denmaster is now a free agent and is looking "for a new path in his career to pursue his goals in CS."

b0denmaster has been playing for ATK since January 2022, when he made the jump to North America after previously representing Lilmix, an organization he co-owns. The team attended a handful of LAN events during his stint, achieving two playoff appearances at Fragadelphia and attending the IEM Road to Rio 2022 Americas RMR, where they were eliminated with a 2-3 record.
The team achieved their biggest success at the start of 2023 by qualifying for ESL Pro League S17, their first and only Big Event together so far. The team employed the services of Aleksandar "CacaNito" Kjulukoski as a stand-in for the Maltese event but exited the tournament without a single map victory to their name.
While the team's future remains unclear due to a breakdown in contract talks, the team will be using Adam "WolfY" Andersson in place of b0denmaster for the foreseeable future, according to the Dust2.us report.
ATK's current roster looks like this:
Gareth "MisteM" Ries
Michael "Swisher" Schmid
Adam "WolfY" Andersson
Ethan "reck" Serrano
Daniel "sprayxd" Kogan (coach)
