Fluxo eliminated from Paris Major; Liquid live to fight another day

Vinicius "⁠vsm⁠" Moreira impressed throughout the series despite his team's loss.

Liquid took down Fluxo after a scrappy 2-1 affair to stay in contention at at the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Challengers Stage, and now sit with a 1-2 record going into the third day of play.

Fluxo leave their first-ever appearance at a Major with a poor 0-3 record, a difficult but expected result as they came into the first Swiss group as the lowest-ranked team. They join MOUZ as the two teams eliminated in last place.

Wilton "⁠zews⁠" Prado's team put out a good fight and did not bow out of the Major without first teaching Liquid a lesson on Nuke (16-11) and scaring them on Inferno (14-16). The North Americans finally secured the series on Ancient (16-13) after another close map.

Liquid still have a long road ahead of them if they want to make it to the Legends Stage as they need to win two more best-of-three matches to advance. Nick "⁠nitr0⁠" Cannella and company are scheduled to face Complexity in the 1-2 pool as both North American teams fight for tournament survival.

Keith "⁠NAF⁠" Markovic and Mareks "⁠YEKINDAR⁠" Gaļinskis took turns to lead Liquid's scoreboard as they powered their team to a narrow victory over three maps. Jonathan "⁠EliGE⁠" Jablonowski did not have a fantastic series, displaying a below-average 0.96 rating overall. The veteran rifler will have to return to his usual level of performance if Liquid want to advance to the next stage.
