ECSTATIC qualify for ESL Challenger Katowice
The Danish squad rounds out the team list for the $100,000 LAN event.
ECSTATIC have secured a spot at ESL Challenger Katowice 2023 after beating BIG 2-0 in the closed qualifier final. Marcus "maNkz" Kjeldsen and company defeated HOTU, GODSENT, and Movistar Riders on their way to qualification for the summer event.
They will join teams such as ENCE, Virtus.pro, and FORZE in Katowice, Poland between June 9-11 as eight teams battle it out for a $100,000 prize pool and a spot at ESL Pro League Season 18. The Danish side was initially intended to be in the qualifiers, but successfully navigated through the bracket without losing a match.

ECSTATIC were directly invited to the closed stage alongside GODSENT as replacements for Monte and GamerLegion, who continued their surprise journey at the Paris Major. They rode the upper bracket all the way to the final against BIG who had to recover from an opening loss to HOTU in the first round.
BIG claimed victories over Movistar Riders, DomiNation, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and GODSENT on the way to the final, but struggled against the Danes. Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz's men failed to close out a 14-8 lead on Anubis (14-16) before ECSTATIC closed the math on Overpasss (16-11).

ECSTATIC are currently the fifth highest-ranked team scheduled to attend the event as they chase the organization's first LAN trophy in CS:GO. The last time the Danish side qualified for an offline event was ESL Challenger Melbourne, where they finished in 3-4th place behind eventual winners Movistar Riders.
