IEM Dallas talent lineup revealed

Two recently established duos will bring the action to the screens from the commentators' post.

ESL has announced the full 15-member on-air talent lineup who will be on the official broadcasts of IEM Dallas, taking place from May 29-June 4.

The broadcast will feature a two-stream setup in the group stage and boasts many familiar names. On the desk, hosts Tres "⁠stunna⁠" Saranthus and Freya "⁠Freya⁠" Spiers will be joined by well-established analysts Janko "⁠YNk⁠" Paunović, Mathieu "⁠Maniac⁠" Quiquerez, and Alex "⁠Mauisnake⁠" Ellenberg.

After splitting up with long-time co-commentator Anders, moses will be paired up with his new partner, Dinko, at IEM Dallas

Two new commentator duos will make their official debut behind the microphone. After deciding to go their separate ways, Jason "⁠moses⁠" O'Toole and Anders "⁠Anders⁠" Blume will be pairing with their new partners, Adam "⁠Dinko⁠" Hawthorne and Henry "⁠HenryG⁠" Greer, respectively.

Regulars Chad "⁠SPUNJ⁠" Burchill and Alex "⁠Machine⁠" Richardson on the A stream and James "⁠BARDOLPH⁠" Bardolph and Alex "⁠hawka⁠" Hawkins on the B stream round out the list of casters. Mike "⁠DarfMike⁠" Winnick and James "⁠BanKs⁠" Banks also feature on the talent lineup as part of the playoffs arena experience.

1. I agree, it could use some work. He basically fakes his hype which is a shame 2. I guess? Never really thought too much about it because moses never did it, so it kind of felt natural. This is also something btw that every caster does atleast someone in the duo does. What else are you even gonna say? 3. His casting is very unique, it's very different from all the other casters But you should also consider his advantages most obviously his experience. Just as his experience can be something bad with him very rarely being naturally hyped it also gives him a lot of advantages. He is always calm, he is quick to fill in the boring gaps, he is very natural at small talk and i like the fact he has a good mix of cs small talk and other random stuff. His accent is also good, easy to understand. He is also quite calm and almost a little soothing in his style at times. Now yes his fake hype is cringe, but still i think the pros outweigh the cons. Especially if the replacement is dinko. Like atleast make it HenryG. The b-stream is almost as good as the a-stream now.

his accent and voice is annoying, half the time i watch his casting on mute. i didnt mention it coz this is subjective. his experience is garbage, since he is surprised how rounds turn out most of the time. next time he casts, remember everything i said here, he will repeat them. so the takeaway from everything you said is "he sounds natural". (which i completely disagree)

It's not really subjective. It's very impressive that Anders is able to hide his danish accent so well, atleast for me. Compare this to Pimp for example This is what we call acting. Idk if you have heard about it. I watched 10 minutes of Anders Highlights to kind of think about those sentences and he didn't say any of them once. He said "Are you kidding me" 3 times but that was about it. Nothing else was repeated.

yea so do not nitpick "are you kidding me" 3 times from just 10minutes of viewing, 10 mins is only a fraction of a game. he says the same catch phrases in rotation of matches played rather than the same match. for example, if he casts this navi game, he will say "omg" "are u kidding me" "unbelievable" x number of times and not say it again for that same match, then says the same stuff in a vitality match in contrast, listen to spunj and machine, they are come up with new stuff often. creative work, this deserves praise.

I mean for me, anders is the personification of the average dumb HLTV viewer (in terms of game knowledge) expressing excitement like us plebs. It’s perfectly normal that UK casters is preferred. The NA scene is lacklustre and theres not a lot of games to cast. In Europe there’s a plethora of games going on at the same time so there’s always an opportunity for new casters to reach the top. UK casters dominate because they are best at english in Europe.

Kind of confusing why she's getting so many A lot of the older hosts are burnt, unlikely Richard Lewis comes back and Frankie avoids ESL because of the Saudi connection until Impact league starts then she conveniently forgets it But theres also a lot of other hosts that are good but rarely get hired it seems, like Veracity and Pala, as well as sjokz although she is usually doing LoL or some shit and Techgirl although she's new to tier 1 hosting and the talent hiring was probably done months before Paris
