Staehr set for Astralis move in 2024, earlier transfer possible
More changes are on the horizon for Astralis, as they have locked in a key player they have been after for the better part of a year.
Astralis has completed the signing of Victor "Staehr" Staehr from the beginning of 2024, multiple sources have revealed to HLTV.org.
The 18-year-old player is currently contracted to Sprout until the end of 2023. An earlier transfer to the Danish organization is possible, but the two sides have not yet agreed on the buyout amount.

It is unclear whom Staehr will replace. The long-term status of their latest addition, Alexander "Altekz" Givskov, is currently unknown after the organization brought the 19-year-old into the main squad from Astralis Talent "for the coming weeks" while Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth went the other way in mid-April. Astralis have found success with this setup, placing second at Brazy Party, winning CCT South Europe Series 4, and making it to the playoffs at the ongoing IEM Dallas.
Astralis have been after Staehr for some time. The organization had its eyes set on the 18-year-old up-and-comer already in October last year, when it was trying to find a replacement for Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke, but was unable to come to an agreement with Sprout.
In his year and a half with the German organization, Staehr has been touted as one of the best Danish talents without a seat in a tier-one team. As one of the more aggressive players of several iterations of Sprout he has averaged a 1.10 rating and a 1.14 impact rating since joining the team in early 2022.
Upon being contacted by HLTV.org, Sprout, Astralis, and Staehr did not wish to comment.
