$1,000,000 CS2 LAN to be held in Poland
The Hussar Cup will feature eight teams battling it out in CS2 for the top prize of $350,000.
Scheduled to take place August 30-September 3, the Hussar Cup is a Counter-Strike LAN in Poland that is due to be contested in CS2 by teams from across the world, with a monumental prize pool of $1,000,000 up for grabs.
Chorzów, Poland will serve as the host city for the event, with the Śląski Stadium serving as the venue. Further events such as a gaming and technology fair, conferences and discussion panels, and a city parade will also take place simultaneously.

The tournament is set to feature eight teams, four qualified and four invited, who will initially be split across two GSL-style, best-of-three groups. The group winners will advance to the semi-finals of the playoffs, whilst second and third will advance to the quarter-finals. The playoffs will be a single elimination, best-of-three bracket.
Open qualifiers are set to take place from July 20-August 4, with eight teams advancing from the open qualifiers to the closed qualifiers, which are scheduled for August 6-9. There will be a separate Polish qualifier, which will take place August 5, from which two further teams will qualify. In the main closed qualifiers, they will be joined by eight teams invited based on their HLTV ranking, and the top two teams from the main closed qualifiers will earn a Hussar Cup berth.
The qualified teams will be joined by invited teams in the main event. In the event that CS2 has not been released in time for the qualifiers, they will instead take place in CS:GO.
