niko enters free agency after four months standing in for OG
The 25-year-old is now on the hunt for a new home as his time standing in for OG has come to an end.
Nikolaj "niko" Kristensen's stand-in stint with OG has run its course and the Dane is subsequently looking for new opportunities, the player has announced.
The Danish rifler linked up with OG for the second time back in February, being thrust into the captaincy for the duration of the BLAST.tv Paris Major cycle as a replacement for Nemanja "nexa" Isaković, who was stepping back from competition due to personal reasons and is yet to return.

OG performed admirably with niko at the helm. The European roster successfully navigated the BLAST.tv Paris Major's numerous qualifiers to earn a berth to the $1.25 million event, but were ultimately sent packing in 20th-22nd place after putting up a 1-3 record in the Challengers Stage.
niko remained on OG's books as the team traveled stateside for IEM Dallas, where he led the side to a 7-8th place finish, rounding out the season with the squad despite initially only being brought on as a substitute for the span of the BLAST.tv Paris Major.

With niko no longer on the team and Shahar "flameZ" Shushan reportedly exploring his options as his contract is due to lapse, OG will have to put the wheels in motion for an overhaul of their roster over the off-season, which will begin in a few days' time as the CSPPA's player break is scheduled for June 12-July 9.
