ENCE invited to Elisa Masters Espoo 2023
The $200,000 LAN in Finland now has three top-10 squads lined up to compete.
ENCE have received the first invite for the Elisa Masters Espoo 2023, scheduled to take place November 29-December 3 in Espoo, Finland. They join GamerLegion and Apeks as the first three teams set to attend.
Elisa Masters Espoo 2023 is a $200,000 LAN tournament set to be contested between eight teams, five invited and three qualified via other Elisa events. The teams will be split across two GSL-style groups, the opening matches being best-of-one and the rest best-of-three. The top two teams from each group will advance to a single-elimination, best-of-three playoff bracket.

GamerLegion and Apeks had already earned their spots at the Finnish LAN via their victories in Elisa Invitational online events earlier in the year. GamerLegion took the Winter 2023 title over Copenhagen Flames, whilst Apeks secured the Spring title over the very same squad, then playing as ex-Copenhagen Flames.
The final qualifying spot will be dished out to the winners of Elisa Esports eSM 2023, an event which will take place in Helsinki, Finland from August 3-5. This will be contested by the winners of recent Elisa Open Finland tournaments, as well as a final team from a last chance qualifier. HAVU, ENCE Academy and JANO are currently lined up to compete, with the last chance qualifier yet to take place.
Elisa held their inaugural Masters tournament at the end of 2022, and it featured a range of squads in-and-around the top 20 of the world rankings doing battle for a top prize of $100,000. Teams like fnatic, ENCE, BIG and Astralis made it through to the playoffs, but ultimately fnatic ran out 2-0 winners over BIG in the grand final to claim the trophy.
