Sources: Astralis bench gla1ve, finalize Staehr transfer
Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander's time with Astralis is coming to an end after a nearly seven-year tenure.
HLTV has learned from multiple sources that Astralis is set to make an announcement regarding two changes in the CS:GO roster: the benching of gla1ve and the acquisition of Victor "Staehr" Staehr from Sprout.
Astralis previously reached an agreement to sign Staehr after his contract with the German organization runs out at the beginning of 2024. However, the Danish side has now reached a breakthrough in negotiations over the 18-year-old's transfer fee following months of unsuccessful attempts to get him out early.

One source has indicated that Astralis will look to put gla1ve on the market. His benching will see leadership pass on to Benjamin "blameF" Bremer, a move that some have called for amidst Astralis' struggles in recent times and gla1ve's poor individual form. blameF has already been calling the shots on one map, Mirage, and has more experience with the role from his time with Complexity.
The changes come as part of a large overhaul of the CS:GO division in Astralis. Earlier on Wednesday the organization announced that it has cut ties with its Director of Sports, Kasper Hvidt, and Head Analyst, Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen, citing results that have not lived up to ambitions.

It is currently unclear whether the changes will end there for Astralis. The roster submission deadline for the Danes' first outing in the fall season at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups is set for Thursday. Further changes beyond that point would be subject to a review from the organizers and, if approved, would result in Astralis dropping to the bottom of seeding for the event.
