Sources: Movistar Riders in advanced negotiations with JUST; sausol set to become free agent

The Portuguese player will take the place of Pere "⁠sausol⁠" Solsona Saumell in Riders' starting five.

Movistar Riders are close to coming to an agreement with JUST

A report by RTP Arena on Friday broke that Portuguese rifler Tiago "⁠JUST⁠" Moura is on his way to Movistar Riders. HLTV has learned from sources with knowledge of the operation that he and the Spanish organization are in advanced talks and expected to put pen to paper in the coming days.

The 27-year-old, one of SAW's original founding members, has been on the Portuguese team's bench since April after their poor showing at ESL Pro League Season 17 and subsequent failure to make it through the BLAST.tv Paris Major's RMR.

Despite currently still being on SAW's bench, Movistar Riders will not have to pay a fee for JUST, who will move to the Spanish side on a free transfer.

sausol is set to become a free agent ahead of the Fall season

JUST will slot in for sausol, a long awaited signing by Movistar Riders in 2022 that did not quite pan out as he struggled to find comfort in his roles. The 23-year-old did not shine his brightest, averaging a 0.99 rating during his time with the jinetes, but nonetheless leaves with an ESL Challenger Melbourne title to his name.

The move for the Portuguese player is not a fan favorite of the Spanish crowd, as many have been keeping an eye on former Iberian Family and current Nexus rifler Adam "⁠adamS⁠" Marian with hopes of him being brought into the fold.

JUST was lauded by Spanish veteran and former Iberian Family coach David "⁠Kairi⁠" de Miguel, however. "It's true that I'd prefer adamS over anyone," he said, "but I'll also tell you that 27 years of age doesn't matter and that JUST is still very good. I still don't understand why he was benched in SAW because for me he was their best player, at least until ewjerkz joined. I also think his profile could fit Riders very well."

everytime the team plays bad you could see he is doing good and carries the team with one other player which makes the match still competitive. He is also playing pretty decent for his role and has some good game here and there. have him for fantasy teams on HLTV in some of their tournaments and then you'll see

Problem is that when he's bad, he's worst than hooxi. In theory he helps a lot the team and igl, but sausol is way better.

maybe for their specific roles sausol was worse idk

also JUST has to fit the team by role and it means that it dosent fit to for replacing davieg but rather replcaing sausol. also overall davieg was their for a longer period of time which also means he has deeper roots and connection to the team i guess

Sure, but then you should search for dav1g replacement, not sausol who's doing ok. dav1g is not a bot and he gives other things to the team, but the team needs to gamble there and try to find someone better to avoid wasting potential top20

i get what you are saying, but you have to understand that probably there wasnt alot of players that were available for trades, buyouts or free agents. so from the very little they had options to choose(a spanish speaker that also fits the role that is also a good change) so probabbly that was the only option almost

It isn't a stupid opinion, the fact is the guy has been around for a lot of years and hasn't accomplish anything, same thing i said in #92. With all the young kids with 16yo being more and more relevant to the scene, i think it's more worth it to invest in a upcoming talent than a guy is almost in his 30. No point, is just paycheck stealing.

it is a stupid opinion it's not paycheck stealing if you're still competitive, and JUST (imo) is a clear upgrade over sausol Why sign 16 y/o kids who are unproven in the scene when you can simply scout them and/or sign them under academy contracts.

The problem is, they are not competitive, kyxsan (apeks), siuhy (gl) and other organizations picked up upcoming talent and at they delivered, do you actually think that adding just is gonna make them competitive at t2 or t1 events? not here and not in a lifetime, but dav1g is a complete bot and it's still on the team, so yeah.

both players you mentioned, regardless of their age, are well established siuhy won a ton of academy leagues with mouz and everyone already knew he was a good IGL kyxsan was taking bluiejays through a lot of T2 wins that most people didn't except them to win If you don't think JUST can be an impactful player, i'm sad to say you probably haven't followed his carreer Keep in mind these are the transfers that MR can go for, not the ones they're dreaming about. But by all means, let us know what players Movistar should be after to be competitive in T2.

It's not braindead opinion, the fact is, our country is shit on cs, we don't have a star that can be good international, Estonia has no scene and they have ropz, Israel has no scene and they have Spinx, xertion and Flamez, Norway has no scene and they have rain, and i can go on. The fact is that we are not worth it to getting picked up even for T2 teams because we are shit at the game, period. For this T2 teams is more worth to pick a up a 18 upcoming talent than to pick a 27 yo bot who has been in the scene god knows how long and has accomplish 0.

27, and i've seen fox playing since 1.6, and fox was not good internacionally, he has literally 0 trophies under internacional orgs, he was incosistent, god mode on some matches and on others a complete bot. i think sausol was doing ok, with ups and downs but i dont like to let him go. Also Just its a proven player,talented imo and i think he will fit well. Anyway like everyone who follows movistar we were expecting a +adamS.
