Sprout launch academy project

After a period of instability Sprout forms its first-ever academy lineup to help feed players into the main team as needed.

Sprout presents its new academy roster

Sprout has announced the creation of the organization's first-ever CS:GO academy project. Coaches Danny "BERRY" Krüger and Mihajlo "Feed" Petrović will be in charge of it and share responsibilities between the main and junior rosters, which will work alongside one another.

The two coaches have stated that the purpose of the academy is to develop new talent to promote to the main team, which has faced stability issues in recent times.

Over the past 12 months the team made a whopping eight player changes, four of which came in a recent overhaul as the organization brought in both proven and unproven talent in Ihor "w0nderful" Zhdanov, Daniil "alpha" Demin, and Olle "spooke" Grundström, and veterancy and experience in Rasmus "raalz" Steensborg.

Sprout reveal new roster

"The idea came last year when we had so many issues finding the right replacements for players, and we always loved working with talent," coach BERRY has said about the new direction. "We wanna act before we need to act and have the players ready [to come into the main team]."

Sebastian "Tauson" Tauson Lindelof is the most battle-tested player on the academy roster, having recorded 370 maps on HLTV.org despite being just 17 years old, mainly in the past year with his latest team, MASONIC.

Three other 17-year-olds join him in Polish player Filip "AxEcHo" Czajka, who briefly trialed with AGO last year, Danish AWPer Emil "sL1m3" Stolz, and Serbian player Petar "zecco" Živanović. The final piece is Romanian 21-year-old Mihai "fNk" Costache, a former teammate of Laurențiu "lauNX" Țârlea and Iulian "regali" Harjău from their time in GameAgents, who most recently played in The Prodigies.

The Sprout Academy lineup is:

Poland Filip "AxEcHo" Czajka
Romania Mihai "fNk" Costache
Denmark Sebastian "Tauson" Tauson Lindelof
Denmark Emil "sL1m3" Stolz
Serbia Petar "zecco" Živanović

Serbia Mihajlo "Feed" Petrović (coach)

+1. Seed is the obvious choice. Sprout are called Sprout because they signed an orgless team calling themselves Seed. It is their founding joke. hltv.org/news/22255/seed-sign-with-sprou..

bruh that's the point of an academy team and scouting... they found ppl they think may be cracked on the low, then try them on a team that they don't care about

Well they got one of the best a really great up and coming rookie awpers in Sl1m3 on acedemy team, and they got one of the best rookie awpers in the Wonderful. Also got a great rifle and awp talent in Zyphon, so i will they that both teams got a chance of atleast getting better results than the most recent sprout.

Last team got the taste of top 30 and nearly 20, so this could at least be fulltime top 30-25 team, or if they kick raalz and spooke for 2 better players, maybe just maybe they could be top 15. Sorry for my english tho
2023-07-11 22:24
Imean, that's what an academy team is for in the long term.

like I said not much german talent out there, and you really need an insider to find out of people are clean. Ive played against german players in 99damage that got convicted in the same season for cheating, and that isnt even that uncommon. Especially the higher you go, the better people get at hiding them. Reason why we never have that many good players from Germany, while still having a huge and active playerbase

What? The main purpose of the academy team is to feed the main team. They're thinking long term, which is exactly what they need.
