Media: NEO returns to FaZe as coach for IEM Cologne
Filip "NEO" Kubski will stand behind the team at the $1,000,000 event.

FaZe have registered NEO as their coach for IEM Cologne, according to a report by Dust2.us. The news comes after Robert "RobbaN" Dahlström surprisingly announced his decision to quit coaching on Thursday, ending his seven-year tenure in the organization and leaving FaZe without a coach just before they began their season.

NEO is no stranger to the organization, having stood in for the team during 2019 as IGL after Finn "karrigan" Andersen was removed. FaZe came close to winning a trophy at BLAST Pro Series Los Angeles 2019 under the Pole's leadership but ultimately came short, ending NEO's stint in the team just five months after he joined. Marcelo "coldzera" David was signed to take over calling for a short while before karrigan returned to the roster in early 2021.
NEO became deeply involved in the Polish esports scene after parting ways with FaZe, notably creating his own organization HONORIS alongside his long-standing teammate Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas. The team ceased operations in March due to a lack of sufficient financial resources, and NEO is now free to stand behind FaZe at IEM Cologne.
The legendary Pole, who amassed a plethora of titles during his tenure with Virtus.pro, notably conquering the EMS One Katowice 2014 Major, is scheduled to join the team in time for IEM Cologne. It is currently unknown whether this is a temporary spot for NEO or if his involvement will turn into a full-time role.
FaZe have been assigned to Group B for the German event, where they will be competing against Natus Vincere, G2, and Vitality. Additionally, four Play-In teams are scheduled to join them in the group stage.

FaZe's roster for IEM Cologne is as follows:
Finn "karrigan" Andersen
Håvard "rain" Nygaard
Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken
Robin "ropz" Kool
Helvijs "broky" Saukants
Filip "NEO" Kubski (coach)
