Eternal Fire, ORKS clinch final ESL Pro League Season 18 slots
Bad News Eagles, Into the Breach, and SAW were among the names who failed to qualify.

The team list for ESL Pro League Season 18 has been set following the conclusion of the National Championship Europe qualifier, with Eternal Fire and ORKS securing the final two spots available at the Maltese event.
The 10-team bracket featured teams who qualified through a spread of ESL's national championship events, ranging from ESL Premiership Spring, Masters Spring, NC France, Turkey Championship, and ESL Meisterschaft Spring.
The opening round featured just two matches, with ORKS and ECLOT beating ex-DomiNation and ex-Genk, respectively, to advance to the quarter-final round.
There, a handful of upsets unfolded, with the most notable seeing ECLOT dispatch of BLAST.tv Paris Major Legends Into the Breach, and ORKS narrowly prevailing over Bad News Eagles in a hard-fought series. Eternal Fire also eliminated the former HEET core, playing under Looking4Org, while SAW moved past Timo "Spiidi" Richter's ALTERNATE aTTaX.

The final two matches, where spots in ESL Pro League Season 18 were on the line, then unfolded. Eternal Fire made short work of ECLOT to become the first team to confirm their berth, converting a 10-5 lead on their Anubis pick into a 16-13 victory before cruising to a 16-7 finish on Inferno.
ORKS continued their impressive run by defeating SAW in their own matchup, running up a 10-5 lead on the T side of Nuke before closing out their pick, 16-13. Vertigo ended up more one-sided as Arek "Vegi" Nawojski and Patryk "olimp" Woźniak powered their side to a 16-10 finish, earning the Polish team the last spot at the $850,000 event in Malta.
