Qikert to no longer play with Virtus.pro*
Qikert has shared that he will no longer start for Virtus.pro after Gamers8.

Alexey "Qikert" Golubev announced on July 14 that his time with Virtus.pro was nearing its end as he and the organization came to an agreement to field offers from other teams for his services.
The Kazakh rifler didn't step down immediately after the announcement and played in Thunderpick World Championship 2023 Europe Series 1, CCT 2023 Online Finals 2, and the IEM Sydney 2023 Europe Open Qualifier.

Now, the 24-year-old stated that his final event with Virtus.pro was at Gamers8, where he helped the squad reach the second round of the single-elimination bracket with an opening victory against FaZe before losing to G2.
During his tenure in Virtus.pro — albeit under the Outsiders tag before the Russian organization's sale and relocation to Armenia while under international sanctions in 2022 — Qikert became a Major champion at IEM Rio, his biggest achievement.
The majority-Russian squad failed to stay at the same level in the wake of their Major victory and have since been looking for a solution to redirect the ship. At first it was with the signing of youngster Aleksandr "KaiR0N-" Anashkin, which didn't work out, and most recently with the addition of Nikolay "mir" Bityukov. Another change is now in the cards.
Qikert's decision to leave came after the team's blunder at the Paris Major RMR, where Virtus.pro missed out on qualification for the Major in the preliminary round.
"[I] decided to leave after failure in the Paris Major, but it took a bit longer cause they couldn’t find a fifth for a really long time and then n0rb broke his hand," Qikert, who is now looking for a new team while still under contract with VP, told HLTV.
Virtus.pro's next tournament is the PARI Dunav Party in Belgrade, Serbia, on August 24-27, before ESL Pro League in September.
Virtus.pro is now:
Dzhami "Jame" Ali
Evgenii "FL1T" Lebedev
Petr "fame" Bolyshev
Nikolay "mir" Bityukov
Dastan "dastan" Akbayev (coach)
Alexey "Qikert" Golubev (benched)
David "n0rb3r7" Danielyan (benched)
