Astralis, NIP headline Roobet Cup 2023 invite list

Eight of the 16 rosters that will compete at the $250,000 online tournament have been announced.

Astralis are the highest-ranked team confirmed at the event so far

Relog Media has announced eight invites for the second Roobet Cup, which will start on October 25. The online tournament will feature 16 directly invited teams in total from all around the world.

Astralis and Ninjas in Pyjamas headline the invite list as the only top-10 teams announced so far. The European duo is joined by three top-twenty teams in Virtus.pro, fnatic, and 9INE, while Roobet Cup 2022 champions BIG complete the European contingent in the first batch of invites.

FURIA and 9z are the two invited teams that do not hail from Europe. The South American teams are both currently in Malta to attend ESL Pro League S18, and 9z stand out as the only team outside the top 30 to secure an invite.

Roobet Cup 2023 will kick off with a GSL group stage, where the 16 teams will be split across four groups to battle for playoff spots. The top two teams from each group will then advance to the single-elimination playoffs to decide the ultimate winner.

The team list for Roobet Cup 2023 is as follows:

Poland 9INE
Brazil FURIA
Germany BIG
South America 9z

He was their best ranked player in ESL PL even though he plays support. As long as he keeps the support "role" (and k0nfig and brollan keeps struggling in theirs) REZ is not the problem. At least this tournament... next time it's hampus having a life tournament and the rest of the team struggling to find impact.

Ive said this before about nip, and I'll stick by it. If all 5 of NIP's players play well, they have the most firepower in the world. The problem is that it's normally one player playing well and 4 going sub 1.00 rating

Im only gonna be interested if they decide to invite teams like M80, Lynn Vision, and TheMongolz, just to give these guys more experience against EU opposition for the long term.
