SAW and Spirit have both secured spots at the Thunderpick World Championship thanks to making the finals of Europe Series 2, with neither team dropping a map so far in the competition. They face off September 18 in the final, with the winner taking home $20,000.

The two aforementioned squads join the likes of ENCE and Heroic on the team list for Thunderpick World Championship, which will take place October 27-November 5. There will be $500,000 on the line in the 16-team competition, which sees invited teams line up alongside those qualified via various Thunderpick online events.
Spirit grabbed their place by virtue of wins over an in-form Sprout and MIBR, having received a bye against 9z due to their participation in ESL Pro League. Despite Danil "donk" Kryshkovets being the Spirit player grabbing headlines in recent times, Artem "ArtFr0st" Kharitonov has been their standout player during Thunderpick Europe Series 2, posting a 1.42 rating over four maps.
SAW took down Looking4Org, Into the Breach and OG to make the Thunderpick World Championship. João "story" Vieira was the man who provided the firepower to fuel their qualification effort, producing a 1.34 rating over six maps.
