Heroic among latest invites for Roobet Cup 2023

Five further invited teams and the list of broadcast talent have been announced for Roobet Cup 2023, set to kick off on October 25.

Heroic, Monte, OG, Eternal Fire and Aurora are the squads who have received invites to the CS2 tournament. They join the likes of Virtus.pro, Astralis and Ninjas in Pyjamas, who were all announced back in September. Three more invites are yet to be announced.

Jasmine "⁠Veracity⁠" Kanuga has been revealed as the host of the event, and she will be joined by Sudhen "⁠Bleh⁠" Wahengbam and Aleksandar "⁠kassad⁠" Trifunović on the analyst desk. Adam "⁠Dinko⁠" Hawthorne, Jason "⁠moses⁠" O'Toole, Henry "⁠HenryG⁠" Greer and Anders "⁠Anders⁠" Blume will be on commentating duties. The analyst desk will broadcast live from Belgrade, Serbia, whilst casters will perform their role remotely.

The online tournament, which is set to run October 25 – November 2, features 16 teams battling it out for a share of the $250,000 prize pool, with $150,000 set aside for the winner. The teams will be split across four GSL-style groups, with the top two from each group progressing to an eight-team, single elimination playoff bracket. All matches will be best-of-three.

Yes Heroic are good at beating shitty Faze narrowly on Nuke and losing their best map Overpass to Faze Then bombing with weak mentality against Gamerlegion and Astralis during big games, or Mouz at Dallas 2023 after sending favorites G2 home. Heroic are good at ruining the fun for real big stage gamers and bombing out to underdogs...also farming Rooster teams like vampires for ranking points.

I was watching live at Washington when they narrowly beat Imperial and probably should have lost 2-0 to FalleN and Imperial but they overstepped their mark on Overpass. Heroic crumbled a 15-7 lead on Nuke barely winning in OT They were very fortunate to get that win against Vitality at that event, and watching them crumble to Gamerlegion,Astralis,Mouz,Monte during crunch time and not some bs match it’s apparent they’re just there to do damage and fluke a win when stars align

That’s one of the only 2 events they’ve ever won, I never cope I’m always fond of watching Heroic lose 16-5 on their best map Overpass at the Rio Major 2022 after they eliminated real big stage gaming favorites Furia, I’m a VP fan and watch that game on rerun as Cadian whiffs and crumbles under the pressure...it’s all I’ve got.

why so mad:)? talking about faze low points don't bother me. I watch cs to relax and I have no problem with my fav teams being bad. if they suck - it won't spoil my day, I'm not some die hard fanboy. but I still like them despite bad results. on the other hand, you my friend seem to feel like you need to defend your fav team from online critique which is kinda ridiculous lol I know being a heroic supporter is a stressful job but at least you are one of very few and it deserves some respect :D
