degster targeting return to competition
The Russian AWPer is open to offers as he seeks a new team with which to continue his career.

Abdul "degster" Gasanov is on the lookout for a new team to represent, the Russian player has told HLTV. The 22-year-old AWPer has been away from competition since June, when he was benched by OG and put on the transfer list.
"My absence this season was a necessity," he told HLTV, adding that he remains keen to compete at the highest level and interact with fans at major events.
"I want to join a team that is capable of winning, which has always been my goal. I will do everything to achieve that goal with my next team."
degster spent 11 months in OG’s starting lineup following his transfer from Spirit in the summer of 2022. The move came after he stood in for Mateusz "mantuu" Wilczewski at the BLAST Premier Spring Final and helped the team reach the semi-finals in Lisbon.
That wound up being one of the few highlights of an otherwise disappointing tenure with OG as the team struggled for consistency at the highest level. Another was helping OG to qualify for their first-ever Major after multiple failed attempts since entering Counter-Strike esports in 2019.
Despite the team’s struggles, degster remained a consistent performer, averaging a 1.15 rating while playing under OG. That was slightly down from his 1.19 rating with Spirit, with whom he notably reached the semi-finals of PGL Major Antwerp to establish himself as one of the most exciting AWPers in the Counter-Strike scene.

OG are one of the many teams that will be undergoing changes in the near future. Dion "FASHR" Derksen has been placed on the bench, while Nemanja "nexa" Isaković is reportedly one of the players on G2’s shortlist as they look for a replacement for Justin "jks" Savage.
