NewHappy, ATOX through to ESL Challenger Atlanta Asia Closed Qualifier

The four teams in the Asian closed qualifier are now known.

kabal and his teammates will fight for a spot in Atlanta

Newhappy and ATOX have punched their ticket through the ESL Challenger Atlanta Open Qualifier in Asia, and are now among the final four teams fighting for the spot at the event in the USA.

Newhappy did so with a victory over The Huns, the new Mongolian outfit featuring some of the country's renowned players with international experience, such as Tengis "sk0R" Batjargal and Yesuntumur "nin9" Gantulga.

The Mongolians had previously beaten one of the big names in China of late, Lynn Vision, in their quarter-final best-of-one, but alas failed to make it through the final hurdle.

On the other side of the bracket ATOX won their last best-of-one in the quarterfinal against the Vietnamese side Hyper5 before taking out their Mongolian countrymen, Eruption, in the qualifying semi-final.

Yes, nothing remarkable. It's just good to see teams and players from other countries playing.

Really sad the huns didnt beat newhappy, wouldve loved to see Yami play. Thought it was very odd for ATOX to kick their 2 best players but it seems to have worked out well

All of them deserved it. Mongolz had their chance honestly so if they lose they lose.

Atox did not kicked him Huns literally buyed out Yami and Skor from their contracts. Skor was still under contract with TyLoo and Yami under ATOX. I do not know who owns the org but thhat guy is serious.

according to tsogoo's interview on mesa league, it's old owner of mongolz. He gave up the mongolz name to current mongolz squad and started new esport org it seems.

how does he even have the money tho. He bought sk0R out of TYLOO which likely cost a shitton for example. like wtf?

I know. Still just want to see them one last time in 2023 on an international LAN. Their last one was IEM Cologne. Since then, it's been the TYLOO and Lynn Vision show.

even if mongolz were to win this qualifier it's hard to say they are going to attend this event due to visa issue (they couldn't attend BLAST) At this point they are aiming for win but that's because tyloo are close to overcome their esl ranking

NewHappy would let them know their transfer was full of disaster.
2023-11-17 03:38
Maybe it might be fine this time around since they could prepare beforehand just in case?
