compLexity to miss DH Summer

complexity gaming have announced they will be unable to attend DreamHack Summer later this month.

The American side had been announced as one of the four invited teams who will be present at DH Summer, which will take place from 19-22 June.

However, after a recent prolonged stay in Europe, where compLexity competed in Arbalet Cup Europe and the IOL Finals, they now see themselves forced to cancel their attendance.

"Jeff "hero" Mettetal was unable to secure the necessary time off to attend the June event," a compLexity statement read. "We have tried over the past few days to find a way to make it work but it will be impossible for us to attend.

"We at compLexity always stress to our players the importance of school and work over gaming and in this case there was no way to get around life commitments."

The decision leaves DreamHack with one invite to hand out less than three weeks prior to the tournament kickoff. HLTV.org has learned that mTw have been in talks with DH to get hold of the spot, so a final decision is expected in the near future.

Last time this happened the team ended up making changes. Lets hope that this squad does well at the ESEA LAN finals, or I smell a possible UE pickup in the near future(all depending on LAN Finals)! But I have to say, Jeff taking his time to go to work couldn't be a smarter decision.

i think coL could possibly be replaced if they don't show commitment and the ability to do well soon, but ECO did beat them on lite and russka, no one should read into that. sure maybe coL should have been able to outaim, but its still russka and lite.

EG is not attending.

They had to cancel their stay. They were unable to stay for the event after the last tournament they competed in.

FF got this slot cuz the ranking system is kinda... strange even if a team doesn't win a LAN, it gets a lot of points for being in the 4 first places, to reward not only the team which win a lot but also the teams which attend to a lot of LANs. This makes that FF are ranked 1st even though they're not the best..
