MYM beat MECTb to win IEM Russia

Meet Your Makers have secured a spot in the Intel Extreme Masters European Championship following a 2-0 victory over MECTb.

On de_tuscan, MYM enjoyed a great start, embarking on an early 7-0 lead, partly because of the good form of Eduard "edik" Ivanov, who showed off great skills with the MP5. MECTb then got their first round in the match, but that did not impress MYM, who continued adding rounds to their tally. Finally the last rounds of the first half went MECTb's way as the scoreboard showed 10-5 at the break.

In the second half, MYM secured the first two rounds, but in the third one MECTb showed they could not be taken lightly and reduced the deficit to just one round. The rest of the map went back and forth, but MYM's first-half lead allowed them to secure a 16-11 win despite the close 6-6 scoreline.

The two teams then entered de_tuscan, where the first half was a really close affair, but in the end it was MECTb to get the upper hand, though with a slim 8-7 lead. In the second session, Ivanov proved again what he is made of, as he inspired MYM to turn the score around and pick up a second 16-11 victory.

Meet Your Makers will now directly enter the Intel Extreme Masters European Championship, while MECTb will have to play the second European qualifying round. The Russian spot in the first qualifying round will go to the winner of the match between forZe and Iron Will, which will enter its third map now.

they r attending WCG, I don't think they will show their teamplay since they are a team with a great teamwork.. I'm sure they will be high level at WCG :)
2010-09-11 19:22
sure, but such playing "aim only" still shouldn't result huge losses like they have seen.

Iron Will played amazing, and LeX is just fucking destroying they haven't even had time to practice and they should've beat MYM in OT but a few errors cost them GL to Iron Will in the future, they're about ready to beat forZe
2010-09-11 19:33
are you serious :D you could say that _IF_ LeX would got them win, but no.. he failed. Like he failed to get to top (and top is top5 atleast). He couldnt do it then and for sure he cant do it now either haha Russian CS will never reach top3 level how much you trye, this is just fact. Only true question is why LeX have spent so much with CS as people say he has. Missing life like that is poor if u really have no hope to be player that can reach (the TOP=a lot of money after spent a lot time with cs). Hope he gets better time in his life. Shame that happened to him
2010-09-11 20:02
You´re brainless. How do you know the russian team won´t get the top3? Are you mother fucking future-teller? Tard, shut up, before you get slamed :o
2010-09-11 20:10
be realistic. Sweden will continue dominating CS.. wanted you that or not. and Russians wont be ever near challenging that or not to mention polish. Sweden CS level is just something others will never reach. That have been since CS came out and have been so from there and will be in the future. WE DOMINATE COMPETITION AND THAT WONT CHANGE KÄRLET !!^^ just accept the truth. This is how its have been and will be. Easiest way is to accept this fact. OÖVERVINNERLIGSVERIGE OOOOOOOOOOOO UUUUUUUUUUU :)

Rofl, sweden wasn't always on the top, years ago was dk,fra, poland etc.. so if you're realistic, you will accept it.
2010-09-11 20:50
dont forget norway =] they surely gave the toughest run for sweden , more specific eoL , NoA etc.
2010-09-11 21:44
Yep, true :)

Fake account, or are you really so dumb? Shit, I´ve not heard any nationalist since 4 months..
2010-09-11 21:24
omg either u follow cs scene for 1.5 year now and listening to what everyone tells u or u are a complete moron, swedeen was and is one of the most competitive ,but germany, franch,RUSSIA(back 2004-2005 and earlier),norway, poland, usa, denmark and even brazil were a lot competitive, the fact that sweeden is NOW the king doesnt mean it was always....
