Na´Vi beat mTw to win WCG 2010

Natus Vincere have conquered the gold at the 2010 WCG finals with a 2-1 victory over mTw.

The first map, de_inferno, kicked off with Natus Vincere the better of the two sides, as the Ukrainian giants managed to pick up a total of 11 rounds in the first half. Na´Vi enlarged their lead in the pistol round of the second half, but mTw got right back into the game and won three rounds in a row to find a lifeline. However, that did not hurt Na´Vi, who simply controlled the tempo as they saw fit to walk out with a 16-8 result.

de_tuscan began with Natus Vincere winning the pistol round as Terrorist, but after that Alexander "ave" Holdt equalized the game with a fantastic three-kill deagle round. mTw’s momentum expired right after, though, as Na´Vi regained the lead and picked up four more rounds to make it 6-1 for them. mTw then finally got back into the match and reduced to deficit to just one round, but the rest of the half practically went Na´Vi’s way as they boasted a 9-6 half-time lead.

The second half threw the first three rounds to mTw, but Na´Vi responded immediately after with a stunning five-round streak, becoming just two rounds away from victory. However, mTw pulled off an impressive comeback and started amassing rounds, eventually turning the score round to win the map 16-14.

On the third map, de_train, neither side could prove their authority over the other, with mTw proving in the last rounds of the second half why they can be called the "comeback team", as Natus Vincere had plenty of opportunities to close the curtain. After a first overtime in which both teams played out perfect CT halves, an aggressive 3-0 half as Terrorist from Na´Vi was followed by a win in the second half as CT, giving Na´Vi a 22-18 victory.

I said GG to mTw for coming back in match . I wanted mTw to win this match and win WCG title but the fact is Na'Vi dominated through out the match and kept mTw under pressure all the time.Na'Vi got many match point but thanks to some sick game by AVE they came back many times.

I don't know how you rate that. But you really don't remember how fx [mym, vitriolic, etc] matches were? luq was like 1 from 15 matches the best, and the rest the 90% last in the team... I am not saynig he is bad, when he was playing I really liked him, he had great awp, but pasha is better with m4/ak and his awp is growing, on this tournament he was the 2nd best awp without any doubt.

The prize money cut must made them pretty sad. markeloff or esenin said they want to try to win more prize money than fnatic did last year. but they won a triple and made history. Nice words, mate! Absolute true! Ty! I can tell that after NaVI won IEM alot of people began to play reaaly hard. Also esport began to development in our country. NaVi is a history and legend for Ukraine(Even the head of Government talk with the players of Na`vi when they won ESWC ) but maybe not a legent for other countries. Sorry for bad English.

That I say they are arrogant are judge out of their way of being in the finals and not their way of training. I totally agree with you that they have achieved very much and all respect for that. And as I said, they can really play cs. Edward was really crazy in this final, and has been doing amazingly the last couple of months! My point is simply that I do not think they have acted particularly professional, I apporve of mTw's way of being a lot more. I think beeing happy when you clutch a round is part of the game. But beeing happy should be like mtw, cheering the crowd and your teammates. Not making signs and bullshit to the opponnent. Looking at stairix humping his monitor is just annoying tbh. But then again, thats just my point of view.

mb but if watch some interview especially with Cen9 he said that he screams only to keep the team mentally strong and to give a bust not to insult the opponents. Well that is a matter of opinnion. I think it makes them appear arrogant. As I point out i like people to be loud and cheer when they win important rounds, clutch rounds etc. However, I think iit should be done by Cheering the crowd and teammates. And not by denigrating the opponnent or making silly and stupid mimes :) but thats just me.

emulate only won 1 big title 2007 but they placed top3 some events as well such as SEC, DH etc. Anyway, you can't compare them as Na'Vi have perfect conditions to stay on top as they have what emulate never had; MONEY from sponsors and without it you eventually lose your motivation. Heck, they even have an apartment and playing counter-strike is their work while the emulate players worked and studied. Besides they have probably participated in 10 times as many tournaments.

What I find weird is that Na`Vi was a very loud team from the start. When they were fairly unknown to the community, people didn't seem to care about them being loud and all with that shouting and screaming. Also in the past, the camera was always focused on starix because he sits at the right corner, and we all know starix has always been ice cool, very quiet guy comparing to Zeus and ceh9. This time round the camera was more focused on the left side (where ceh9 was sitting) and people branded the whole team as 'bunch of arrogant kids'. -_- The way I look at them is exactly the same as how view mousesports, ex-PGS, NiP, and plenty of North American teams. They are loud and trash talk alot but in actual fact, they do have respect for each other. Not all teams are as calm as fnatic and SK. Emotions do affect your gameplay and your teammate's performance. (and in some cases, your opponents.)

I think the difference between 2 teams were the zonic game he was in bad shape in finals. Ave 3 single degal headshots were awesome , Sunda awped good , minet and trace were also playing good but zonic did not manage to do anything impressive as he did in previous games. As far for Na'Vi Edward, starix and markeloff were the killing machine. Zeus in train second last round with famas was the game changing round if they have lost that round then that would have been game over for Na'Vi. Inferno was a booring map to watch but rest 2 maps were awesome.

You are mistaken... zonic did far better than trace, he was the worst player this final. :/ and he knew that judging by his face after they lost. Zonic did amazingly, and so did ave! :) sunde stepped up at train, and minet were just all arround good. Trace was the one failing, atleast not showing us anything like we are used to from his side!

i didnt claim that navi is legendary team. but cs skill level is higher year after year and tactics get more and more developed, so its pretty clear that navi is highest skilled/talented cs team so far what cs world have seen (dominating whole 2010 year proves that). thats why its pointless to count dominated years. otherwise old sk.swe would be the best team of all times, though their level was not even near current NaVi. Its like saying that Gretzky (if he would be younger of course) could get as good results in current NHL (now), what he got in his time when he dominated and ice-hockey skill level wasnt so high what it is now. also in all individual sports all old old world records get always broken, simple because current level get higher. that is just natural, when some sport is popular and winners get well paid.
