.no takes out Norwegian DH Qualifier

After a few days break the Norwegian DreamHack Winter Qualifying Final finally got underway between .no and Deathwish. With an all expenses paid Bus ride and an invite to DreamHack on the line, this match was shaping up to a classic Norwegian thriller.

After an interesting knife merry-go-round starting on de_inferno, Deathwish got out to an early 5:1 lead as Terrorists. .no were able to rally on some good counter-terrorist holds and managed to restrict Deathwish to an 8:7 halftime lead.

In the second half Deathwish were able to regain control of the match and take the opening three rounds, and once again .no were able to fight back picking up the next three rounds in convincing fashion. Both teams then exchanged rounds blow for blow and with four rounds to go the scores were level. Some nice clutch play from .no’s stand-in Thomas "Vertigo" Andresen allowed .no to take the lead; from here .no would make the most of their opportunity and take the first map 16:13.

The second map would see the two teams face off on de_tuscan. With a slightly more orthodox knife round, .no was able to secure the pistol and the following 5 rounds as terrorists. At all times .no seemed to have control of the half and constantly put DeathWish on save rounds, the first half ending 10:5 in favor of .no. The second half would be no different from the first, .no took complete control of the map and ended up run away winners 16:7, and the final two maps to none.

I disagree I think mibr is more on a level of munkka or Antwerp Aces and x6tence I dont really see them placing in the top 8 of any EU event and I think Millenium is a much more experience and solid team. Can someone post the roster of .no?

did you ever watch them? or are you just looking to the lineup? i know, you never saw a match of these guys... but since they beat CNB and coL twice (just to mention EG is 0x4 versus coL), they are good it will be their first international tournament so they are expecetd to underperform a bit, but in normal conditions they are better than munkka or AA
