WCG 2011 to take place in Korea?
Reports in China are indicating that the 2011 World Cyber Games event will take stage in South Korea.
Approximately two months ago, HLTV.org reported that Shanghai could very well turn out to be the next host city for the 2011 World Cyber Games event. However, fresh reports now say South Korea will be the next stop.
The reason behind choosing Shanghai was, according to tatazu.com, because Samsung, WCG's main sponsor, were very pleased with how the 2009 event in Chengdu played out and therefore wished to see a similar arrangement unfold for 2011.
The 2011 event to be held elsewhere than China?
Fresh reports over at the Chinese website pcgames.com.cn now claim that the next host city will however not be situated in China, but rather South Korea, a country which has hosted the prestigious event four times throughout its existence.
The website furthermore claims that their source is an insider with the World Cyber Games organization.
