compLexity add urb

compLexity have announced the addition of Matheus "urb" Oliveira from playArt.sp to their Counter-Strike division.

The Brazilian talent had been on trial with the former FireGamers team for over two weeks, having helped them win the TEAMPLAY Summer 2011 online competition at the end of March.

He will fill the void created by Bruno "bit" Fukuda's release by compLexity in the aftermath of a disappointing campaign at the IEM5 World Championship.

Oliveira is regarded as one of the hottest commodities in the Brazilian market and was voted the Most Valuable Player of the Mega GamerHouse Acervus cup in September, which his then-team won against the likes of Made in Brazil and CNB-Gaming.

urb completes coL switch

The new coL player joins in from playArt.sp, who released him shortly after learning of his intention to start practicing with the ex-FireGamers squad.

Oliveira will not fly with the rest of the team to Denmark, where coL will be at Copenhagen Games to play in the Counter-Strike: Source competition as part of their deal with TargetDown. The name of the first LAN event which the team will play with the new lineup has not yet been released.

compLexity now have:

Brazil Bruno "bruno" Ono
Brazil Renato "nak" Nakano
Brazil Lincoln "fnx" Lau
Brazil Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo
Brazil Matheus "urb" Oliveira

nice he is a young talent

2011-04-08 00:07
urb=UrUbUzInHo or something like that? :D
2011-04-08 00:07
yes, urb is abreviation of UrUbUzInHO trx for question.
2011-04-08 00:09
i was wondering why his name had been shortened.
2011-04-08 01:13
apparently he only uses "urb" now, and all the .br fanboys were blowing loads on their monitors for hltv.org using UrUblahlah or w/e in every article about him.
2011-04-08 02:20
he uses that nick "urb" for a year or more
2011-04-08 13:28
why do some americans always talk like americans? no reason for random comments like that. plus he has been using urb for a long time anyways, so gratz on the fail-flame.
2011-04-08 14:55
what part of that was flaming? hltv.org used his full alias in every article for weeks, and brazilians kept complaining about it. you can still visit the articles to see it. brazilians (among other select nations) embarrass themselves and get mad at americans for pointing it out. maybe its not your fault due to it being an english only website. maybe youre all einstein in portuguese, who knows.
2011-04-08 21:02
curious, how many languages you can speak? and as far as i remember they were just explaining what's the meaning of urubuzinho or saying that he doesnt use his whole nickname now, just urb, and now 'blowing loads'
2011-04-08 23:44
So, HLTV.org is right ,and us, brazilians who know about the brazilian scene is wrong, right? you sucks.
2011-04-09 01:20
abreviation sounds better than original nickname.
2011-04-08 03:42
That's him.
2011-04-08 00:09
y :D urb » urubuzinho's pubmaster nick xD
2011-04-08 00:10
Good luck, urb!
2011-04-08 00:07
Why don't you write his whole name? XDDDDD
2011-04-08 00:09
xD
2011-04-08 00:15
he had to change it because brazillian teams don't accept players with nicks bigger than 5 letters
2011-04-08 00:19
FALLEN ?
2011-04-08 00:33
fln
2011-04-08 00:34
I know you're being ironic, but this is not true. fnx = fenix = phoenix nak = nakano = his last name bit = bitoca = slang used to small people tall urb = urubuzinho = don't know why BTT = batata = potato spc = spacca = his last name fln = fallen = don't know why. but fallen started to use FLN when he joined the team. atleast I never saw fallen using this nickname before being part of FG/coL. We just like to shorten our nicknames. ;)
2011-04-08 00:42
it's just a joke relax..
2011-04-08 00:53
maybe his nickname is Urubuzinho because he's flamenguista... I don't know :)
2011-04-08 00:57
I was told that urubu is some kind of bird.
2011-04-08 01:51
Means Condor/Vulture. Zinho is a suffix meaning "small" or "little". So "Urubuzinho" means literally something among the lines of "Little Condor".
2011-04-08 02:09
a black bird at that.
2011-04-08 05:39
All brazilians players has a long nickname, they just abreviate it. Example: fln - Fallen fnx - Fenix urb - Urubuzinho nak - Nakano spc - Spacca cky - Chucky btt - Batata bit - Bitoca prd - Predator etc.

The guy has been called 'UrUbUziNhO' for ages on this site, so it really surprises me that you put out a newsitem where his name is suddenly changed to 'urb' with no explanation whatsoever. If things has to be explained from comments, the newswriter usually did something wrong.

FINALLY, hltv.org realized he plays as 'urb' for years, like i was trying to say for months... he plays as 'urb', so lets call him urb, right?
2011-04-08 06:49
I don't know what he plays as, I just know what he has been called here on the site. And from that point of view I think it is weird to suddenly change his nick without any explanation. You could of course argue that he should have been called 'urb' all along but that didn't really happen.
2011-04-08 10:52
that's a short cut =)
2011-04-08 10:57
Yeah I know, but as you can see it did cause some confusion. From people outside of Brazil it seems weird when he has been called 'UrUbUziNhO' +20 times.

if they have hard training in Europe they will be one of the best teams in the world, like mibr times. The brazilians teams have the worst train possible. I really don't know how a team that trains with super-low teams and horrible ping go to WCG and places 4th place. I really really admire them. Europeans who talk the shit about coL: "coL is horrible, bla bla bla" should observe the situation. Good Luck. Sorry my bad english.

2011-04-08 03:46
maybe you are wrong, before the iem5 grand finals, they were at germany training against the european top teams and what did they get ? i don't mean that TCM-Gaming, m5, redcode and EG are bad teams but i'd like to see if they were in the group b how far they could go.
2011-04-08 07:34
they practiced for 5 days or something like that....
2011-04-08 23:51
No, I'm not wrong. They trained only 1 week in Germany.
2011-04-09 01:14
you've said that they don't play against the top teams and they get good results. IEM 5 shows you're wrong about coL. they trained but they didn't have a good result. stop thinking coL is the best because they aren't. unfortunately the strongest team atm is Na'Vi (nothing against ukraine or brazil) and the no.2 is mTw. if play in europe was the matter, they should be the top2 and they weren't. CS is talent.
2011-04-09 20:10
hahah, another european who hates Brazil. I won't discuss with you, because if I do it I will piss me off. I really hates europeans, thinking they are better in everything.
2011-04-10 00:24
no, you won't discuss because you don't have arguments. if you had read my comment, you wouldn't say that i hate brazil. i went there, very good country probably one of the best i've ever been but if someone hates brazil, they are the brazilians. i've 5 brazilian friends and they say the same thing i said above. ps: they didn't persuade me, i saw it with my eyes then i started to agree with them.
2011-04-10 00:56
The arguments were told. If you don't agree with me, you should travel to Brazil again and play with the infrastructure that we play. And responding #172: You really think that 1 WEEK of training in Europe is suficient to win some top-team? mibr used to train on Inferno Online in 2007/2008, and they had good results: 1º – DreamHack Winter 2007, 1º – shgOpen 2007, 2º – GameGune 2007, 3º – eStars Seoul 2007, 1º – GameGune 2008, 2º – DreamHack Artic 2008...
2011-04-10 19:13
you don't undestand how they have good results with bad situations to play. just to show how you are wrong with your thoughts, they didn't play in europe before WCG and they were 4th. 1 week before IEM 5 they came and were 5th. if you are a bit intelligent you'll see what i mean. europe doesn't help you to play good otherwise dateam, 4K, x6tence, TCM and etc would surprise the giants.
