MSI BEAT IT Russia 2011 announced

MSI has announced a Russian BEAT IT edition, starting with qualifiers in May and with the Grand Finals held in Kiev in December.

Ever since the MSI BEAT IT 2010 finals finalized in Beijing September last year, there has not been any information released about moves towards happenings in 2011. The first news regarding MSI's BEAT IT has come, as MSI announced BEAT IT Russia.

MSI BEAT IT Russia qualifiers will take place in 11 major Russian cities, including the capital Moscow. The event will actually also feature a qualifier in Kiev, allowing Ukrainian teams to qualify for the Grand Finals. Winners of the qualifiers will get a paid trip to the Grand Finals.

The Grand Finals, which will feature a 750,000 rubles prize purse (or close to $27,000), will take place in the already famous Kiev CyberSport Arena, 11-12 December in Kiev, Ukraine.

The event has furthermore secure support from Kingston, SteelSeries and Microsoft. In the announcement it is also mentioned that the Grand Finals will add Swedish team fnatic to the attendance list.

The organizers have informed HLTV.org that additional teams will be invited, but will have to handel travel and
accommodation on their own.
